Footprints of infatuation lay on the shore
Memoirs of pretty faces I seemed to adore
Those in the past that have stolen my gaze
The waves crash in and wash them away
Now I found myself
Staring back
At your
face.
Is this something
That the waves will ever erase?

i know life is great
There are sunflowers blooming,
The grass is undoubtedly green.
But the emptiness I’m feeling is rather unseen.
i have friends who care for me
and a family that loves & is undoubtedly there
But this feeling has created a small, dark cavern
And all I need is a flare
A flare of love from a warm embrace
A flare of love, seen in the beauty of a face
A face, that I will behold and see to be staring at me
With eyes full of compassion and care,
A body not just to hold close,
But a heart too, I suppose.
A heart that is open,
With a soul that sees mine
A heart that causes my biological clock to slow down in time.

This is absolutely silly,
I know I have to wait
But it seems that as days go by
All I seem to want  to do is rush my fate
I don’t know how much longer I’ll have to anticipate
Someone who can reciprocate
These silly, silly feelings I carry
Buried within the bittersweet smiles of a guy
Who is going about life trying to figure out why
Life is happening this way.
But I guess I’ll have to keep taking it slowly
As life goes by day by day.
it really ***** feeling this way. lol.
