enough
Audeline May 2016
My soul was searching for love
- I thought it was you.
Even when I held your palms,
- the soul of mine still felt blue.
Never pleased, never in place,
my palms from now on chase
a different space.
Provide me blank papers and ink,
I am enough to myself (I think).

Demons
Audeline May 2016
Would your demons be proud?
Let them know, because they don't hear you, your mind is too loud.

They wonder where you are; is she chasing her hopes and dreams that flow her mind since she was ten or is she trying to escape our arms again?

"You cannot escape", they say, but she would do it any day.

Now she is more of a special kind, but she didn't always win the war against her mind.

Although sometimes demons got her down, she would never show her frown.

But one night, when no one was around, the demons found her and she almost drowned but the hopes helped her up and got her on the steel cold ground.

Shadows
Audeline Apr 2016
They're just our dark side,
You cannot hide,
Except in the dark,
If there is no spark,
Then you are one.

Be careful what you do,
'Cause they will do it to,
Following you around,
But not behind you, on the ground.

At the end, we are all shadows,
Putting on shows,
Just to get some more,
From the ones we adore
