samson part iii
allison douglas Jun 2015
lost souls
wandering lonely
self destructive hearts
amidst a world turning too fast
an unfamiliar nostalgia surrounding my mind
and the angels sang sadly in the background.
and the violins cut deeply
and blood from the broken hearts
from the broken bodies
spilled to the ground
poison smoke circling our feet.
haunted all along, samson traveled this world alone
his golden demonic hair hanging low
heart in his pockets
never says a word
never says...
a word
from dust we came, to dust return
your god has long forgotten us
our sins laid out on our forearms
one song playing on a broken record for all eternity
I let samson have my soul.
and the angels sang sadly in the background,
and the violins cut deeply
and the blood from the broken hearts
from the broken bodies
spilled to the ground
our minds were entwined
you tasted the smoke from my lips
dripping cyanide laced flower
your pupils are made of *****
I was lost, I succumbed
to your silent spell
and that was not how it was to be
samson, you were mine.
you were my prize
I had won...
but I had not.
and so were two lonely souls lost among the unforgiving winter
and met at their most broken.
lost, drunken, lonely souls
did what lost, drunken, lonely souls do
and left feeling less complete than before.
you said not a word,
not a word
samson, you were mine, have you forgotten?
I'm the one that writes your dreams
and plays the thoughts in your head
you were born beneath an emerald sky.
yet your face appears behind my eyes
every time they blink
untouchable
and your god laughs and laughs
at my misfortune
soul of sulfur fire
frozen in place
and the angels sang sadly in the background,
and the violins cut deeply
and the blood from the broken hearts
from the broken people
spilled to the ground
tainted soul,
somehow ****** heart
entwined in the tones escaping your lips
samson, I held the cards,
I saw your god
and yet you have your hands
wrapped around my throat
death grip
and I'm begging you not to let go,
I am the goddess of original sin
on my knees
praying for you
samson, never let me go.
I traveled through empty forests
poison smoke swirling around my feet
a lost, drunken, lonely soul.
cold dead nights spent in the company of fallen angels
and you were tainted,
yet pure.
you took my power
when my lips touched yours
and the angels sang sadly in the background
and the violins cut deep
and the blood from the broken hearts
from the broken people
spilled onto the ground.

he stares off and inhales slow death
green lungs
red eyes
his soul reminds me of the sun
older than time and burning slowly
his halo hangs undecided between his body
and his aura
deep purple,
guess that's why his voice sounds like purple haze
with green lungs
red eyes
here I come, baby.
and he starts walking like there's no star in the sky that could stop him
walking through the clouds,
riding through the sky
he's the chosen one
gold streaks running through his long hair
Samson, your time has come.
you don't know who you're talking to.
I long to know the secrets woven into your dreadlocks
yesterday's broken song
and the beginning of the universe
what your god sounds like
and what it's like to have god running through every vein in your body.
I'm a cute little heartbreaker
with a tar black heart
let me take you over.
back roads, cold night
inhaling poison
blasphemous hotbox in the house of The Lord
clear mind
tainted soul
green lungs
red eyes
you're enticed by the darkness shining behind mine
unintentional seductress
with unholy motives
so I get you to the backseat of my car
inhale the smoke dripping from my lips
the cyanide laced flower you cling to
the light fades from your red eyes
as realization hits
your last thought asking why
seven inch bloodstained blade torn from hearts of the many before
pulled from my belt
I cut the purple haze from your soul with every strand I steal
the gold fades
I can hear your god
see the secrets of the universe woven in your dreadlocks
watching the universe begin
mesmerized
I don't know if it's day or night anymore,
or if it's the end of time
but I've taken you over
oh, samson.
and then he rises, his hands on my throat
he sees me standing over him
gets up and screams
his voice brings pillars down,
the house of god obliterated
in this moment I'm all his
his rampage beginning.
in the midst of his purple haze
green lungs
red eyes.
the revolution is mine.

dead head
bed head
eyes red
the blood that you bled
on my soft hands
soaked into your bed
come close
in my bed
kingdom found,
to kingdom come
to dust we came, to dust return
with sin entwining
your cosmic body
ive seen your god
rearing his ugly head
thrashing and angry, I was unimpressed.
the archangel fallen
the blood that you bled
on my pale hands
soaked into your bed.
oh, samson.
the strongest man of god,
weakest man of sin
temptations
take my hand
your heart lies inside
follow me into the dark
your hair was long when you surrendered
let me take you down
and make you human again.
the fiery lake lies just ahead, calling your name
and it's all you see
fire burning in my eyes
you're numb to your surroundings
blinded by my desires
by a seven inch bloodstained blade
the blood that you bled
on my tainted hands
soaked into your bed.
my iron ship is docked on fiery shores
let me take you away
come with me
to a place untouched by human hands
where gods tread the paths I've made
and the songs of lost souls like mine
echo through the skies.
where moonlight follows my footsteps
my favorite sin smoldering between my fingers
hold.
yet I am your drug.
I am the taste of sativa through your teeth
and the electric pulses in your fingers
after a life time under indica's death like grip
I am the tab on your tongue
riding the waves in your neurons
obliterating the walls in your mind
between dreams and reality.
my war song pouring from your ears
can you hear it?
the blood that you bled
on my destructive hands
soaked into your bed.
my atrophied heart beats once
sending me crumbling
paralyzed on the brimstone ground
your body standing over mine
smoke from my cyanide laced flower
dripping from your lips
and what choice have I
but to breathe you in.
clinging to life at your fingertips,
I was never meant to fall
I was bred a warrior by nature,
heartbreaker by trade.
I dragged my body to the lake
and drowned in
the blood that I bled
at the hands of your god
soaked in to your bed.
