So this one time I sat down to eat my salad
and she plopped into a chair to share her life's ballad
Of drunken crazies and dumb little nights
and of all sorts of berserk and ridiculous plights

Dancing on a table, just a little unstable
whoop! there's that white girl wasted label
Get up it's all right and dance into the night
got that guy's number in spite of her plight

she jumped in a cab didn't know where to go
had a suit case and just went with the flow
landing on crutches again and again
you have to play hard if you want to win

she met this musician, Aerosmith something
he was sitting on a beach wearing pirate bling
she walked up and said, "man I like what you're wearing."
had no clue about all of the people just staring

she sauntered through life on a breeze and a cloud
and only got scared when things were really loud
never a care it just falls into place
I wish I could remember that girl's pretty face

so this one time she told me things got really weird
but don't worry about it, "my name was cleared."
but she sang while in jail to cops in blue caps
and when she came out of her cell there were claps

now she turned with a grin and twinkle in her eye
and gave me advice as she bid me goodbye
"a ship in a harbor is boring as hell
crazy makes history, so go make it well"

Blessing abound in my poetry found
there's beautiful flowers all over the ground
the spring time is here and there goes the fear
the sun has come out to dry all our tears
God is so great and not full of hate
you can turn to Him now, it's never too late
spring is for birth and filling with mirth
as baby animals roam around all the earth
so go out and breath in or go for a swim
now is the time to let go of your sin
joy will find you in the vast ocean blue
and you can be free of what hold you back too
so let go of the sting of rejection that clings
go out and have courage and try that new thing
you can be free if you just want to be
limitless is how He created you and me

Rise to the top
cream of the crop
lied all the way
to get higher pay
little greased palm
exterior of calm
smile and a wink
champagne clink
smooth sailing
girls railing
******* up the nose
you know how it goes
smarter than the rest
gotta be the best
control is the key

but now let me tell you what he doesn't see
he doesn't see that his lies are a trap
smart people can see right through all his crap
he backstabs and ******* and always complains
he's happy sometimes but not when it rains
when the storms of life come he has no strength
to get that fleeting happy he'll chase any length
he pushes away and ignores those who love him
he's covered in sins and horrors so grim
he hurts people, uses them, with never a care
he won't think of the future, no he doesn't dare
if ever a slight to his precious ego comes
then he gets so upset that he's nearly undone
he's the weakest of the weak but thinks he is strong
he never admits at all when he's wrong
he brings out the worst in all those around
and his voice is always his favorite sound
makes you feel like you're worth nothing at all
takes a hard worker who's kind and makes them feel small

But God sees a heart
one so torn apart
a lost battle field
that needs His shield
this poor broken man
who thinks himself grand
is a shattered soul
without a good goal
so immersed in this earth
forgetting new birth
he wants to be free
and this he can see
he just doesn't know how
thinks he's chasing that now
only One that can save
this poor foolish slave

tiny little precious town
wearing a gorgeous pine tree gown
with hair of waves an ocean blue
not too many people, this is true
the sort of folks that you will find
are very friendly and super kind
they'll work for free to show they care
and when they charge it's always fair
when you're lost they'll show the way
and tell you that they hope you'll stay
pristine lakes and streams abound
around this awesome little town
it's easy to find some peace and quiet
and stick to that super healthy diet
so if you're feeling too much stress
and your life feels like a giant mess
then make your way to a small town
and you may find you'll lose the frown

I sat among the lupins
a sunny breezy day
my dog was rolling in the grass
I love to watch him play

I picked at little flowers
and watched the bugs fly by
I never get to enjoy the spring
and I will tell you why

usually I'm sneezing
my eyes are itching so
I can't even go outside at all
to watch the green stuff grow

today I soaked up sunshine
and loving every minute
I hope my allergies are gone
'cause I want to be out in it

So I sat among the lupins
till the sunshine went away
soaking up the good green earth
as I thanked God for this day

I saw an angel look at me
through your eyes I saw her
you're unaware of what I see
but you were open heart so pure
timid as we talked of things
subjects of shame and pain
excuses and fear often clings
but we're opening up again
a lightness came into your eyes
as we enjoyed our simple day
I saw in them reflected skies
we somehow both found our way
through space and time stayed
not knowing we were on a path
the stuff of friendship made
does not make sense in words or math
now here we are in spring
where hope is all around
this beautiful connected thing
true friends' words the sweetest sound

Spinning circles in my head
I never have been on the meds
I hear they're great and fix some stuff
but I just want to be enough
I don't want to be zombified
that just makes me mortified
so I will argue for our right
to just be different, that's our fight
so we have too much energy
and are lacking synchronicity
people can't keep up with us
some with Tourettes often cuss
wild ideas spinning out
enthusiastic scream and shout
and they just want to structure me
to fit me in their society
this is how it's supposed to be
well sorry dude, that just ain't me
I just want creativity
and redefining normalcy
that box just will not fit us all
sorry but it's just too small
we were made so limitless
it's time for us to be fearless
breaking out to be our own
we discover the unknown
