You weren't my favorite song,
but always stuck in my head.

every line every note,
doesn't seem to get old.

weren't the first on track
but one that keeps me coming back.
been a while since I wrote here :)

My head's on a leash
That's been cut loose.

I'm able to roam
but I am unfree.

I hate to let you go
But your happiness  is far
more important than mine.
Fly high my love

The moon tried to replace the sun's shine it left everyday,
Yet you still orbit the sun like it didn't leave you anyway.

I know it would hurt
but I love you anyway.

You think of someone who barely thinks of you. You care for someone who doesn't even care for you. You cry for someone who doesn't deserve your tears. You love someone who doesn't even know you exist. Does it hurt seeing them together?
Does it break your heart knowing you never own them? Yes, love is pain for those kinds of you. The fact that they will never love you back, and the tears you shed for them. Don't hide behind the shadows of pain, cry for those who deserve your tears and smile for those who deserve your happiness. For true love will wait, and it will be great. Someone deserves you, more than those who left you.

A friend that I had a lot in common
A friend that saw their old self in me
A friend that knew I was alone
And a friend that always had my back

We'd read books
We'd write poems
We'd watch movies
We'd talk about everything

But it was when we got too close
Too close that made me feel afraid
Too close that I distanced myself
Too close that I often never replied

He knocked at my door, I never opened
But he still cared
He said I'd call him, I never did
But he still cared

I know I've changed
But now I saw him happy
Happier than being with me
So near yet so far

Now I opened my doors
But he wasn't there
I tried calling him
But he wasn't there

Now I regret
That I long for that friend
I had a friend
That friend I took for granted
Poem for a friend
