Into the sea I dive forever deep
Cold and battered I'm thrown like a stone all weak
Many sights I pass by all unique
Each possessing their own mystique

But as I travel the sights I see
Become more mundane they're bleak
Losing sight of nature's beauty
Something new is all I seek

Shore-side is where I wash up
Stationary becoming my solitude
Halted by forces out of my control
Home is here I'm finally whole
The sky glistens bright

The green grass slightly swaying

Both display beauty

The water shines clear

Causing thoughts to run wild

Reflecting nature

Piercing winds sound loud

Through the forest it does run

Chilling to the bone
One summer a field basks in the warm sun

Filled with flowers that sway in the slight wind

In the distance the deer with freedom run

Trees of towering beauty move and bend

The sky glistens with many vibrant blues

Harboring clouds that provide ample shade

Bodies of clear water nearby leave clues

Where fisherman into the water wade

With many aromas filling the air

And the memories being created

Our feet on the meadow’s green grass are bare

Arriving friends today aren’t belated

The summer’s day comes to a happy end

Tomorrow will bring a continued trend
First attempt at a Sonnet, how'd I do?

— The End —
