This is routine
but it is a joy every time
This is changing

When I chase the sunset to somewhere unseen,

When my footsteps cease to be something the Earth can taste;

I want to plummet into sky

And flail like flames, falling into eternal twilight.

A drop of water from above
The clouds cry out with thunderous love.

A crack of lighting makes steady hearts jump
And the winds break trees to a short gnarled stump.

The clouds converse and decide to roll away
The sun peeks out and shines on the day.

The flowers breathe and have much to say
Puddles dry and fade away.

Secrets whispered between the trees
Autumn erupts with falling leaves.

The change we see is not complex
But when change arrives we get so vexed.

Calm yourself down, be as a flower
Soak in the world and feel its power.
