PorcelainTears Jan 2021
when the night simmers
the stars play an orchestra
of light and heartbeats,
and I envision you
behind your French glass frame,
stretched out like a dream
with bare ankles, crisscrossed
bone to bone
and your fingers so fare,
pressed between sepia-edged
love letters

PorcelainTears Jan 2021
while the winter winds howl,
whip movement between branches
of maples & pines in the distance
-
i sink under the heat of your fire,
the pressure of your hipbone
pressed so seamlessly,
that no prayer can tell us apart
-
and the winds howl
to the gleam of our movements

PorcelainTears Jan 2021
the night curls around
soot-dark, bare branch silhouettes
where it is so quiet
I can almost hear
snow dust falling
and I unwind my mind,
fact and fantasy,
and it is enough
to sit in the quiet
and breathe

I must sit and rest
my beautiful thoughts,
watch you letting go
of my motherly branch
__
My motherly branch
I must let you go
my season is over
but not deep below

I'll wait for the day
to see you again
when you seep to the roots
where I sit and rest
my beautiful thoughts
