Maniacal Escape Aug 2020
Golden shoes walk a silver path.
Jeweler looks on through enviable emeralds.
Dull hum of green, backstage shine.
Jade blocks.
Then to the sapphire lake. Clattering, rolling over each other. Chance to shimmer lost in waves of chips and tarnish.
The jeweler is happy with his work, and so shall charge double.

The more I want to say,
The less you want to hear,
The more I overthink.
Maniacal Escape Aug 2020
Sparks, giddy buzz
Smoke goes in, dry lips.
Eyes roll back.
Cloudy limbs.
Maniacal Escape Aug 2020
Gander about rubber duck.
You lost your head?
Bubble brain goes pop.
Popcorn poppeddy plop.
Like a Stone.
Is anyone alive in there?
Stick it in the green bin.
At least its biodegradable I guess.
Maniacal Escape Aug 2020
Predatory lizard eyes.
Sun goes down,
Owl sees all.
Maniacal Escape Aug 2020
Stars burning up.
Where is heaven?
Where will I go?
When maggots eat my eyes?
You told me this. Do you remember you told me this?
You shouldn't question hallowed grounds!
Look what you've lost.
Hopeless, wondering through unlit halls searching for truth in plain hiding.
What will you do?
Now sense and reason has replaced fantasy so comforting?

Pray, the saints go wild.
Sin and the gods smile wide.
