Lorraine day
As flowers grow embracing spring
And wild birds gather to happily sing
Amongst the new branch upon the tree
How wonderful

If we have the eyes to see

As the sun begins to shine once more
As its done so many times before
And daffodils carpet natures floor
So beautiful

If we have the eyes to see

New life inspiring hope instilled
Into the hearts of the unfulfilled
Blue sky's whispering
Look at me

If only we have the eyes to see

K
his stare was cold
the stench of his favorite whiskey stained the collar of his shirt
how could a man allow himself to be so sick, what a sick *******
inching in as if I was merely just a voiceless body with no life left in her
placing his hands upon the covers stripping me of any childhood I had left
eight years old and afraid of my own home wasn't how it was meant to be
he would later be the cause for her self destruction
dear ******* who ******* up any chance I had at happiness

Wolfgirl
I see you everyday
But, oh, the fullness of your soul
After all the hardships
That have made you more whole...

You're a marvel to me,
In all your sweet sincerity.
Each moment to you seems
Like another opportunity.

Through something more profound
Than simple conversation,
We've lived our own lives
And developed a connection.

I look to you for strength
Just a touch or a smile
And in our parallel worlds
Everything's right for a while.

You believe in what you do
And so do I.
I didn't realize until now
How much you really try.

I admire and respect you
Just seeing the way you exist
Fills me up with joy
Just to know you.
I've decided to write odes to people who've influenced me. This is one hell of a guy from my high school. (Note: I don't like the cheesy rhyming either, but that's what I was feeling.)
It doesn't matter
How rich you are
Or how many friends you have
Or how successful you are
Because in the end
My coffin is buried
Six feet under
Just
      Like
            Yours

I hate when people say
That the hate themselves
Because they are
"Fat"
Because in the end
My soul weighs seven pounds
Just
      Like
             Yours

I hate when people believe
That they are inferior to another
Based on their physical appereance
Because in the end
I shed my body and become free
Just
      Like
             You

Disha Verma
In the land that bleeds,
Sighs, weeps and screams-
Yet silent, sans vision
Crowned with unspoken dreams,

There lived a hope,
A wish to see the day-
A day not stained with blood,
The one five oceans away.

Paradise on Earth, as they call,
Breathes through nostrils burnt.
Its skin specked with landmines
And not a single soul concerned.

Two Watans, one tug of war-
To drag it in their maps.
Soldiers killed, the innocent blown,
Parched Earth, thirsty taps.

This never-ending show of greed,
Will shatter everything, they say.
So, to Kashmir, tranquility
Is but five oceans away.
An ode to Kashmir, the land of grenades.

karin naude
you judge and sentence my actions
one swift move erasing the cause
easily forgetting your actions
there can be no reaction without an action

take away the emotion and the kicked up dust
left a spoiled brat beyond reform
wrapped in foil to reflect what i wanted to see
what i was desperate to see
in a blessed action from heaven
you broke contact with me
no it was not long
just long enough
to brake the ties around me

once free
i realized your abusive ways
hiding behind social media
dancing the cycle
honeymoon to outburst back to honeymoon
blocked you still try and find my ears
the audience no longer exist
you question the integrity of my character
camouflaging the real issue
telling your family you are an unwanted bachelor
owning up to your actions

from a distance i view the kicked up dust cloud
it reads the integrity of your character
thank god i can walk away
