The decorum of fire...
-- Pablo Neruda

We learned the decorum of fire,
the flame's curious symmetry,
the blue heat at the center of the thighs,
the flickering red of the hips,
& the tallow gold of the *******
lit from within
by the lantern in the ribs.

You tear yourself out of me
like a branch that longs to be grafted
onto a fruit tree,
peach & pear
crossed with each other,
fig & banana served on one plate,
the leaf & the luminous snail
that clings to it.

We learned that the tearing
could be a joining,
that the fire's flickering
could be a kindling,
that the old decorum of love--
to die into the poem,
leaving the lover lonely with her pen--
was all an ancient lie.

So we banished the evil eye:
you have to be unhappy to create;
you have to let love die before it writes;
you have to lose the joy to have the poem--
& we re-wrote our lives with fire.

See this manuscript covered
with flesh-colored words?
It was written in invisible ink
& held up to our flame.

The words darkened on the page
as we sank into each other.

We are ink & blood
& all things that make stains.
We turn each other golden as we turn,
browning each other's skins like suns.

Hold me up to the light;
you will see poems.

Hold me in the dark;
you will see light.

Baptism…Foreward

I prayed and hoped
I lost and wept
I was found by a boat
I, by the Lord’s waves, have been swept.

Baptism…Afterward

I pray and hope
I loose and weep
I am found by a boat that helps me cope
I, with the Lord’s waves, will sweep.
July 2008 a day after I was baptized in the Atlantic ocean in shore break waves on the beach with 2 other friends and my Dad holding my hand. Awesome.

High as the sky,
Deeper than the oceans,
Smaller than a plus sign,
Larger than life.

Who is he?
What is it?
When?

Why?

The date is set,
FINAL-ly.

Escape.

Mother will never know,
Neither will its father.

A smile is a beautiful thing - it shows happiness, joy & love.
It makes the birds louder sing; the sun shines brighter above.

A smile is contagious - I smile, you smile, then him & her.
Its results are outrageous, a frown it can deter.

A smile has so much power.  When someone is sad it brings delight.
It's more beautiful than a flower.  It makes a gloomy day bright.

So share your smiles every day. Don't be greedy or else
your sun will turn to clouds of gray & your joy the raindrops will melt.

Greek mythology is the body of myths
And teachings that belong to the ancient Greeks
Concerning their gods and heroes, the nature of the world
And the origins and significance of their own culf and rituals
Greek myth attempts to explain the origins of the world
And details the lives and adventures of a wide viriety of
Gods,goddesses,heroes,heroines,and mythological creatures
Snapbacks.
V-necks, low pants.
Bad grades.
Drugs.
Rude *******
This is the definition of swag.
So why would you brag?
Because it really sounds like a drag.
*******, its the apocalypse.
Survivors clothes full of rips.
Nothing but beans and blood stained jeans.
The occasional shambling zombie, blood thirsty and ripped to shreds.
I just wish they could be healed with meds.
I remember the days of plumbing and grocery stores.
Thats all gone know, and all we have left is each other.
You must band together to make it out there.
Or you will turn into a zombie that's losing its hair.
To survive you must trust but choose your allies wisely.
Some will back stab and some are true leaders, or maybe they want to be led by you.
Everyone has the potential to be a leader, but only few have faith.
To even survive you must be smart.
But being smart is just the start...

Soulless,
We quenched our dreams with thirst;

bought the heavens,
Waving a country of radio love

As fee,

United under one Internet
Two Chocolate paper ******* announcements
And $6 New York Halal meat.

The mortal man always drinks his sea--
So ask your doctor about Nixon
And lift the verbs off your skirt
For Nemo
who replaced Icarus
And now twerks at synods
With ******* oven oil glued
To his left fin;

The same one God used to bet Satan over the soul of man.
Today was grocery day.
I didn't want frozen pizzas or chips.
I wasn't looking for juices or dips.
All I was looking for were crackers, And crackers Is what I got.
Three boxes of Wheat thins.
The family sized Cheeze itz game me grins.
Tons and tons of triscuit crackers.
Gliding across the stores bar code trackers.
But best of all was my glorious box of Chicken in a Biskit.
