Daddy dear.
You were cold the day I touched your hand, although you were alive.
Colder still the day you died.
Could not kiss your furrowed brow.
The last time that I saw your pallid face.
Chilled entirely by the fateful kiss of death.

Dear Daddy.
Left behind so much unsaid.
In a world, a resting world.
Played like a violin, somewhat out of tune.
Now nothing can atone the missing moments.
You know those ones we rarely shared.

Father dear,
Yes, that you were.
In marriage I was made.
The ultimate move I made.
I touched your hands, clasped in peaceful death.
And I said "sorry".

Into the fire your heart was burned.
Since that  day some thing I learned.
You left me a gift.
The greatest legacy.
Somewhere in my geno-type.
Mapped out my dearest love to write.
You wrote too.
I never knew!

Just one of those nights..an I can't sleep night!
Died a long time ago. No love lost!
Sadly my children hate writing and hate poetry even more!

I thought your love would save me
I thought your hugs would replace my medication
You kisses could be my therapy

I thought you could fix what had been broken
I wanted so badly to believe so
But I was wrong again

I thought it would be like the movies
And you could be my Prince Charming
You’d take away my disease

In real life there are no perfect endings
You can’t shield someone from hurt
Won’t protect them from everything

You can’t unshatter a heart
You can only put bandages on the bruises
You can’t put back what’s been ripped apart

I thought your love would save me
Wanted it more than anything
Thought it would be a cure
So why do I still think these things?
I’ve learned that how you feel about me,
Doesn't change how I feel about myself
And not even a sea of love
Can make my love myself

Mirror mirror on the wall
Who's the skinniest of them all?
Mirror mirror I don't like what I see
For once, can the skinniest one be me?

Mirror mirror on the wall
I want to be the skinniest of them all
Mirror mirror I'll make you a deal
Will you make me beautiful if I skip all my meals?

Mirror mirror on the wall
I'm still not the skinniest of them all
Mirror mirror I don't like the number on the scale
Can I please skip to the end of this tale?

Mirror mirror on the wall
Why aren't I the skinniest of them all?
Mirror mirror I only ate an apple today
Is that enough to keep the doctor away?

Mirror mirror on the wall
Didn't I deserve to be the skinniest of them all?
Mirror mirror my skin as white as snow
Won't be satisfied until I reach 0

Mirror mirror shattered on the ground
I try to scream but I can't make a sound
Mirror mirror, what have you done to me?
I once was your slave but now I want free

Mirror mirror I lay destroyed just like you
I won't let you take my life too
Mirror mirror I lay barely breathing on the floor
Hoping a prince will find me with a cure

I had my first kiss late last night
While I laid down in bed
You pulled me closer
As my heart beat faster
I didn't have time to pull away
or to think about what was happening
or even if my breath smelled okay
But I felt your lips pressed against mine
And nothing else mattered
It didn't last long
And I yearned for more the second our lips parted
You smiled at me
I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling and realized
My first kiss was but a dream
I had a dream that I kissed my boyfriend for the first time a few nights ago and it felt so real that I couldn't believe that a imagined kiss could take away my breath like that. It makes me scared for the real thing.

your beauty does not fade,
your self, remaking, and remade,
you see empty,
we see refilling,
seeking, dreaming,
but make no mistake,
isolation is not your condition,
no, instead think permutation,
you are skin shedding, evolving
the newer new, substance over
lip gloss of surface
and the voyage of transition
is wondrous to us.
Behold!
Behold, a

Postscript:

Tho the central sun warms the unfolding,
It is the bitter winded cold of the northeast that
Queries, what is the stuff of your composure?
Where artists litter the pavement, some rising,
Some falling, but all teaching by watching
You pirouette.

So when the inner quest is not sufficient,
Come to where the weather's central quest,
Is a reminder constant that there is no answer,
For humans are seasonal creatures,
Forever changing their skins or else
Slow dying under a tan that hides
No change

The postscript came to me later, obseving the snow flurries and and the NYCB dancers performing Concert Barocco (music by Bach) at the ballet now

All things weird and wonderful.
The poet writes them down.
The words from nutty nightmares.
Well, most are preconceived.
When the words flow greatly
Emotions flow so free.
Go and put the kettle on.
I need a cup of tea!

Feeds my writes with darkness.
And with sweet flowers too.
Fill my head with poetry.
To stop me feeling blue.

There is a road
a narrow path
with darkness ahead
darkness behind
flashing memories disappearing
neon traces trailing.

The seekers of wisdom
a flash light in hand
darkness ahead
a Diogenes searching
for
wisdom and a wise one
knowing
this way lies madness
that way lives love.
Behind is birth
Ahead is death.

Pitfalls
Skyways
through the sinkholes
the marshes
deserts
the mountains
the ocean too.

Periods of walking alone
Periods of walking with you
Blindness fills our eyes
the dark it is
always all encompassing
as we feel our way along.

But you are the light
your life is that
small shinning
flash light
illuminating
each moment
of our searching lives...
