The sun cannot be seen
the clouds are dry and the moon.
Trees are hardly barren,
and on them; flowers bloom.
Pink and red petals
fade out to the brightest white
i sit and watch as the sky fades
and the wind cools it’s blight.
Window open,
i smell the freshest breeze
my heart beats with the earth
and my mind is carried with the leaves.
roses spring, with thorns a’sharp
i hope one day, I will be plucked
like a child picks flowers from the yard.

Come away with me, please
swim out here and I will show to you,
the sea.
Glide out with the waves
and the current,
and wave goodbye
to your current life
because now, you will be free.
Grace and beauty
are all you will find
when you let yourself be washed over
by the waves
and cleansed by their foam
because you
can be more beautiful
than you have ever known.

Starry skies
sunny moon
the lucid night
was a gory maroon.
Tick-Tock,
it’s 3 on the dot
now it’s time to go
out the door
we will soon implore
the demons we don’t yet know.
Here, here,
here they are
arriving just on time.
Tick-Tock,
it’s 3 on the clock
watch my shadow climb.
One, two
next is you
did you expect this turn?
Three, four
bodies on the floor
watch these hell fires burn.
Just some 3am casual banter.

She remembered back
to when you called her princess.
She couldn’t help but cringe
at the deep voice in her mind,
and her skin crawled
in all the places you used to touch her.
She could still feel
your selfish hands
feeling up her skin
like a lion to its prey.
She is haunted every night
by the way you carved your name
into her neck with your hot breath.
Of course she still remembered
every place you touched her,
And now she hated the dark
because of the things
it let you do to her.
So answer to her,
answer to me,
Was it really not her fault?
TRIGGER WARNING- Talk of **** and abuse. Not meant to offend or upset anyone.

Yes, there will be times
when you reach for the moon
but are burnt by the stars,
Or when you get up to climb
but only fall further into the earth.
And for every person
who is just as deep in the darkness as you,
there is one on the surface
trying to pull you out.
There will be times
when you can’t catch your breath
and your lungs weep for precious release
but your body is submerged
again
and you know that no matter
how much you gasp and plead,
the water will not give way
to allow you a fresh breath.
Those are the exact times
that you should thank
both the water and the air,
because without the experience
of drowning,
we could never appreciate
the beauty of a crisp wind
on a heated summer afternoon.
