What other kind              of creature could divide
Each different thing             into its different sides
With chaos versus             order, dark and light
The stark duality of         wrong and right
We even split the very        world in two
With human versus human,       we and you
But still no matter how much      we divide
Each thing has infinitely many      sides
As artists
We want to hold on to our creation forever
We want the reader to interpret our art with our intention
We want to control
But the truth is
Once we release our art into the world
It becomes common property
And belongs to the world
We do not get to dictate
How our art will be received
Or whether the viewer must laugh
Or cry
Or become nostalgic
The purpose of art
Is to let it go

People don't die until their memories are gone...

I'm laying on a naked mattress
you keep posting pictures saying
you wish you had someone to talk with

grace
your pretty face
no words come out
no one understands what you try to say

surfing on a cloud
you send one message
ignore the rest

it's people like you
I hate

reasons why you're lonely
I could make a list
it would never end

flying with the wind

I distantly hear you cry

I'm determined to not bother with it

I heard their laugh
bouncing off the high clouds

shining
glowing
from afar

do you know it's me

I want to **** the sun
though
without it
how will I call the moon
when the sun dies

someone find a way

I can't go see her in
the heavenly
black pit
