I woke up this morning and
I started counting my blessings
I found out that I'm more blessed
than I ever thought or imagined.

Even though I don't have a million dollars
in my bank account, not even 10% of that
Neither do I own a fast or luxurious car
But blessedness is not confined to that.

I haven't been in a hospital bed in years
I realized that I have a family that cares
I've never not have a roof over my head
Every night, I lay on a comfortable bed.

I have clean water running through my taps
My freedom is not restricted by bars
My mouth hasn't been short of laughs
Even the dark times were filled with stars

It dawned on me that
I have a lot to be thankful for
It's a question of where I put my focus on!

From the ashes, new life has arrived.
For the old man now is dead forever.
The new man whom stands strong.
Because of the Holy Spirit within Us.
This is my prayer, that everyone sees.
The Miracle of the New Men and Women.
That every Poet shall grasp the truth of this.
Thus wanting to become the New People.
You, common sunflower,
Yes, you, Helianthus,
Who takes a stand without his brothers
in this fresh-cut field of golden hay
And bows his petalled head in reverent grace --

Teach us of living with no apologies
Saying "so what?" to wind and rain
And canoodling with the sun on cloudless days --

Yes, you, H. annuus,
In love with life from seed to bloom
Teach us how to dream in yellow
and dwell in tune with Nature's
                jagged beauty --

Dreams start out the same with different endings.
Unresolved issues and dreams still in progress towards reality
Another time and place cliche works for some and  steps on the souls of others
Trying to get through their days and praybtheir nights are less lonely evrn when they are not alone
Sometimes
