Darkness will come.

All the infringements of suffering
that have broken our own selves

will unfold us

and we'll lay there naked and unveiled
in each-other's arms

as gold falls from the sky.
This poem is about the opening up of vulnerability in a relationship (darkness), and how it can have the most rewarding results (gold).
I thought I could use him,
take advantage of his
unfaithful desire.

It turns out
I am more sincere
than that.

It turns out
his slimy mind
is unbearable–

not worth even
the most magnificent castle
made of sand.
it’s time to rest

for a little while, not think
about what’s to come

just listen

remember everything, listen
to the echoes

rest

play with the cat.
