Miss Jade Murder
You were my unexplained
My unexpected
Overtook my life; helped me feel again

I didn't know who you were
This beast, this beauty
But out of nothing came you

My dream without dreaming
The only one that can calm my mind
Rescued my soul, this you did
Relieved me from myself

I fell, entrusted, alive
And exhausted now I try to clear my eyes of saline
My lungs of sad air

For I can't let go
Not now
Not ever

You are my only fish in the sea
And no one will ever love anything as much as this girl loves her fish

My kind of love

You weren't ready to love me.
Lord knows I tried.
To make you feel,
To blow your mind,
To show you the moves to make.
You can't teach love with faltering steps,
Your wavering gaze moved me to tears.
You cut out my heart, piece by piece
and fed it to the wolves running wild.
You can't love before you feel,
You were too scared to let me hold you.
You didn't want my kind of love.

I have given this a lot of thought,
and soon I will tell the truth,
the girl you see before you,
isn't the girl you thought you knew.
She is shattered like the mirror glass,
and lying open on the floor,
the girl you once loved,
has ceased and is no more.

She is replaced by another Spirit,
that was created after years of hurt and pain,
she was broken and came undone,
has nothing in this life to gain.

The sky was dark when we got the call.
We rushed to see you
I was a hatchling
absorbing sunlight for the first time

Stumbling
Speechless
Breathless
it just made sense.

I passed right there.
Hatchling to turtle to dust--
in the breeze, to the sand.
I was the shore.

The moment I saw you
Time stopped
as if I were at the bottom of a pool
for a second too long

The iridescent bulls-eye like waves
keeping the air from my lungs.
We belonged right there
surrounded and safe.

I was my esophagus,
obsessed with oxygen.
Obsessed with you.
The ocean released and

I could see with hazy vision.
Your eyes were closed
I knew I would be the first
to show you the world.
