You are the air that i breathe
The dream that i dream
The thought that constantly travels my mind
The force that keeps me going
The sun that warms my soul
The moon that beautifies my night sky
The song that my heart sings
The blood that courses through my veins
You touch me in ways my soul has never been touched before
You fill me with these incredible sense of happiness
You inspire me
You excite my senses
You light up my life
You are my world
..my universe
..my galaxy
..my paradise of thoughts
The queen of my heart
The empress of my soul
The seductress of my soul
My heart beats for you
My soul lives for you
My eyes only see you
Every inch of my body longs for you
You define me
You complete me
You fill me with hope
You make my life worth living
I feel so lucky to have in you life
Just stay with me..
...always

You started to leave as the cold nose of Winter
bulldozed through Guy Fawks skies
and Christmas silent nights.

Your nearness was a far plane
of slumped reflection, deliberation,
contemplation of your plight, so mine.

Suspicion stirred in morning tea
and pre-work niceties.
You watched me when I turned my back,
your head buried in the ‘Daily Mail’,
too close to the print.

Denial hugged me a long while, dismissing
the cosseted phone and obsessive hygiene.

Giggling-head days, home-fire Wednesdays,
pledges in sweat daze
all rolling around
on a distant carousel.
I hoped you could see,
but hope could not override
your turning tide.

Your eyes begged for the ‘talk’,
so you could bring it up
like rancid *****.

You left in a yellow haze with the daffodils,
and I hated you

with all the love anyone could imagine.

we keep them in cages
we want all of our friends to see
so we put them on stages
they should be out there running free

my friend on the table
won't stop scratching at the glass
I've chosen to disable
this animal's natural path
This isn't about domesticated pets. This is the reason I don't go to zoos. It is so sad to see that look in an animals eyes.

I am not one to treat a beast decent
but I've fed that demon as of recent
this creature eats my peaceful pieces
with hate increased, my whole decreases
no more free meals

it's all he said she said
until it comes to we said
don't forget the times that we bled
when we wished that we'd rather be dead

never mind those monsters that we've fed
there's words that need to be said
things that make me see red
it's all he said she said
if you can make any sense of this, let me know...then we'll both know
Scars
by
Jude Kyrie

No one gets through life without scars.
I don’t mean being
accidentally scarred.
Like a burn or cut from glass.
The other type
Like the quietness that fills you
When driving through Fruitland
With the window down on a spring day.
The blossoms perfume choking your soul.
And all you can taste is her lips
like the day you made love to her
and she tasted of peaches.
If that was all
it would be bearable.
But holding back tears
When snowflakes
fly for the first time.
Or
That playlist fires up unannounced.
Finding her woolen gloves or
Her lipstick tube in the glovebox.
And people say to you
Hey are you ok?
And the words
It’s just my scars showing.
Form silently on your lips.

~

“Star light, star bright,
The first star I see tonight;
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight”

The winter wind is cold
as I stand in the yard
staring up at a
the evening stars
we once shared

When the ground crumbles,
giving way beneath my feet,
frozen earth opens up,
swallowing me
into a deep abyss

And as the surface falls,
caving in, creating
a darkness like
I have never known
I whisper, “thank you”

For soon spring will come,
and new grass will grow
over the disturbed land,
erasing every trace,
that I ever was
The first stanza is obviously not mine...I can not find the author or composer's name to give credit to.
