I am not liked
I do not like you
I am a vistor
Walking through a human zoo
I observe your behaviors
I may think you are cute
But I cannot take you home
I'm alone
A species of one
Chemically controlled
I could be like you
Braindead and handfed
A vistor become prisoner
Please the many
Destroy the few
Instead I observe
Unbeholden to you

A clam In a shell
Anything outside is hell
I do not understand
I cannot comprehend
Nothing exists beyond
Open this shell
And I die
I can witness a glimpse of truth
But I will deny
I am limited
I am primitive
Ignorance is not a lie

Domesticated
Castrated
A Curious animal wandered the farm
Sacrificing limb to his Masters
To protect him from harm

They dined on his legs
He'd crawl from the barn to see the sky
Looking out on the horizon
Until they took his eyes

Now blind
He'd crawl out to feel the breeze
And smell the fragrances it carried
Till his head brushed up against the wood of the fence
The only thing keeping him confined

Without ears, all you hear is your heartbeat
Sniffing around for freedom
While the dog enjoys a new treat

They took his skin
But a will still remained
All the time in the world
But he couldn't identify a day
Immobile
Hollow sockets pointed upwards
Still dreaming
The sky
The horizon
Fading flesh
An Empty mind
A heart unbroken

Feast on this dream

You make me water
Beholden to your shapes
Contorting to your wishes
But I will never change
Every piece of me you take
Leaves behind a stain
A soul cannot be stolen
Only shackled in place

This life is a tired metaphor
A broken road with holes
But forward I slump
Not knowing where to go
Time wasted meticulously
Shying away from the real me
Ripping me apart inside
Waiting on Serendipity

An artist drowned out
A bright light in a sea of stars
An audible voice in the choir
Whispering into the wind
Swallowed by the mire

You make me water
Restricted to this vessel
Freeze me up
Pour me out
Raise me up from the fire

Drink until the scabs rub bare

It doesn't feel like it did before

But still I know it's there

Scar tissue tried forming

Never healed

The same old story

Year after year

Eyes dried

Skin tight

Waking upright

I guess I'm alive

The waves wash away the face
It's round and smooth
Developed a new shape

Your daily tides roll tired
Bare, over a skipping stone
Corrosion eroding
All that was etched on

Unrecognizable
Undeserving
Haunting
Unnerving
