The boat sinks
Slowly
Rushing shapes
People
Eager for escape
But I stay Afloat
Cause I stay
On a raft of dreams
No one else has one
Because as they grow
Their dreams are shattered
Kids however
Kids like me
We believe in dreams
And that could save our lives.

Cry for Help

If I can’t reach my goals, would you think I’m small?

If I can’t say I like it, would you think I’m mean?

If I ask for help, would you think I’m weak?

If I say what I think, would you think I’m wrong?

If I tell you how I feel, would you think I’m kidding myself?

If I say how much I love you, would you think I’m insecure?

If I try to say something’s wrong, I just won’t.

A change of pace.
The crank of a lever.
The turning of a wheel.
The clicking of gears.
The starting of music.
A soft melody that repeats eternally
Inside my head.
Echo, Echo, Echo.
Nothing but a quiet voice
Echo, Echo, Echo.
Nothing but the darkness around me
la
la
la
Oh well
No use fighting something determined to distract me
As the quiet melody becomes louder
I begin to sing along.
