The tracing of fingers
Swirling down my spine

Like the most delicate and intricate
Ice skaters known to our kind

You painted me into existence
With each uplift,
A new part of me appeared

And just like that I felt myself cohere
My soul to those tiny little skaters
That were twisting and twirling

Like magic fairy dust when I was young
A whole new dream world had become
Lost in a fantasy, maybe.

But I still can't quite get over the way you say
"Baby."
And it drives me wild to know,
That I as a person have a newfound home,
In a being that took the time

To use soft brush strokes,
And to draw paintings on me
With his fingertips

Creating a whole new version of ice skating
Bringing a whole new meaning to the word
Refurbished

Because when he slides his fingers across
My skin
I dont feel "reused"

I feel brand new

And all I can think of are these beautiful
Thoughts that come from myself

All spanning from the lines he used
He created a whole new shade of "who"
I no longer ice skate alone,
When my hearts tracing with you.
