I called to you
Words floating
Escaping on a breath
From the confines
Of this page
Do you hear them?
Sewn between
Every confession
The symbolism
These characters represent
A paltry melody
I mustered
Between sonnets
And speechless utterance
Do you hear it?
Your name
Drifted from this verse
Echoing down the canal
Of your hollow heart
Rooting within
Every fiber of your being
Halting the advance
Of the darkness
To bring you back to life.
