My love, today,as you touch the skies
Look down and sure you'll see
A forlorn banner flying free
Emblazoned with love for thee
The words you read upon it
with the brush of my soul inscribed
Tells of the unrequited yearning
Of myΒ Β heart, yours ever to be .

And as your gaze draws a closer
A passion a blazing you'll see
A life consumed in the fire
That burns with desire for thee.
Years, months and hours
of solemn wait tirelessly
For moments of joy a spending
My love, with you endlessly.

Your pictures in my mind I treasure
Each one of them preciously
A story together is woven
Though none of them includes me.
But the embers of hope still burning
Someday will I closely be
Never to bid you goodnight
No mornings where you, I won't see
