I gave you your eyes,
Showed you the blue in the sky,
Why in the hell did I bother to try?
You make her laugh when she wants to cry,
You never let go when you say your goodbyes,
When you ****, your body's her lullaby.
And when you both wake up, it's not luck that binds you together:
It's the lies that you told me
And the ties here that hold me
And your false promises that sting me so coldly.
Definitely a personal snippet, but if any of ya can relate then it's well worth the post.
