The words spill out of your mouth
they pool around my ankles
they snake up my body,
wrap around my middle.
I cannot breathe.
the words coil tighter, tighter;
my ribs start to crack,
the splinters lodging in my lungs.
they are deflating like popped balloons.
the words do not care. they constrict my sides even more
my chest cannot take the pressure
I drop to my knees
trying to formulate a response
but my brain will not work
there is no oxygen anymore.
I wheeze out one last breath,
before my body hits the floor
