Sovereign Dec 2017
Upon my face I held a smile,
And me your heart held for a while, Eternal sunshine three years strong,
And with it hope for what's now gone.

As summer fades we went for bust,
Now in the future I entrust,
The heart of one I still hold dear,
It's resting place not far from here.

My flower stands with auburn hair
But In my heart I know despair.
A life of warmth our only plan
She's found it with another man.
My first poem, a story of unrequited love based on a resent break up. I'm new and inexperienced, so any and all feedback is welcome.
