She holds her arms out,
Hoping to rejoice,
But she slowly lowers them.
Seeing as she has no choice.
She saw him from a ways,
But he failed to see her,
Now in his arms,
Is a stranger to mind,
But an enemy to heart.
The girl she doesn't even know from the start.
She stands there,
Confused and dazed,
She can't help but keep a mindful gaze.
Finally she stumbles,
But catches her feet,
She turns around slowly feeling her defeat.
Finally he sees her,
But he knows it's too late.
He lost her,
The girl he's  been with for years,
For a girl who slept over on the first date.
Years later,
She met the man of her dreams,
He kept her close,
Never let her tears come down in streams.
Finally one day he went down on one knee,
He asked her sweetly "Will you be mine forever, please?"
The funny thing is,
The twist of fate,
For her first love lost the girl who slept over on the very first date,
To a man she met the very next day.
He moved on with his life,
Got a new job and met a new friend.
This friend he met,
Had a wedding one day.
There he stared in defeat,
As the girl he loved for years,
Stood there happy as could be,
marrying his best friend,
And all he could think was,
"That could have been me".
Wrote this, this morning. Never cheat, it will only come back to haunt you.

Teary eyes,
Are like lullabies,
For a broken soul,
Sometimes,
You have to lie,
Because you play a role.
Teary eyes,
they sometimes follow you to sleep,
Teary eyes show pain,
Even when you can't fully weep.
No one knew she had teary eyes,
She blamed the dust in the air,
But on the inside all she wanted to do,
Was pull out all of her hair.
She stared into the mirror as finally tears streamed down her face.
All she could do was point out all the things she hates.
For years she struggled like this,
Hating her every breath,
Soon enough,
She began to wish for death.
But what she didn't know,
Was that to a boy,
She was the love of his life.
One day he noticed,
That her arms have been under a knife,
He showed up to her door that day,
Asked to take her for a walk,
As they trailed the sidewalk,
He said they needed to talk.
She was confused,
Then she saw the sorrow on his face.
She asked him what was wrong,
Thinking maybe she could relate.
Then he quietly whispered,
"I love everything that you hate."
The tears that were once in her eyes,
Slowly began to fade.
She looked into his eyes,
With a slight smile began to say,
"Every part of me, even the ones I hate, have loved you, since the very first day".
As the realization sets in,
they decide to part ways.
That night, the girl with teary eyes,
Looked into the mirror,
And threw away the blade,
Not because he loved her,
But because she wanted to stay.
Seeing the sorrow on his face,
Helped her replace all her tears,
For she realized that someone, really truly cared.
She knew she no longer needed to fear.
Though she wasn't cured,
She knew she wanted to heal.
Finally her feelings,
Began to feel real.
Teary eyes are temporary,
Wounds will always heal,
Blades wont help you.
They don't find a way to feel.

She cries in her room,
Silently weeping,
Thinking she's worthless,
While her family thinks she's sleeping.
She thinks back to her day,
Replaying it again and again
At this point she doesn't care,
If she's alive or dead.
She lays back on her bed
Overthinking her life
As she does this, she quietly reaches for the knife.
But, something has kept her here,
Something has kept her holding to her life.
Maybe the hopes for kids,
maybe her hopes to be a wife.
You may fall and feel as though you don't want to try
But she knows through it all, that when it comes to those nights,
There is always a friend to call when in this fright.
She decides to sleep, and put her body to rest.
As her tears clear up, she feels the opening in her chest.
She takes a deep breath, and silently whispers.
"It's gonna be okay" as she slowly drifts into slumber.
Fast forward years later, she's as happy as could be.
She thanks herself each day for letting herself live that night.
She's happy she didn't give up on what seemed like her never ending fight.
Now she's won the war, and she knows she did what was right.

Don't give up, when the going gets rough, for this tale speaks nothing but truth, about a girl who fought her demons that were exhaustingly tough.
I wrote this the other day, first poem in a while.

Warm tears stream down my face, as I see me being replaced. I was once yours and you were once mine.
What happened to the good times we shared?
Now they're replaced with bad times to show you never truly cared.
Good times were robbed,
Bad times to replace,
What was once love but now is hate.

You still haunt my dreams sometimes,
and I can't seem to sleep at night.
I lay restless in my bed. Why won't you just get out of my head?
My past holds me by the wrist
And with every little choice I make,
I feel a little twist.
Why does it get this far?
I wont let it leave me with scars...
Why do I,
let it get this way..
I still get scared
to this day.
I don't know what to do anymore,
I wanna close the door and run.

You're everywhere I look around,
you're haunting my dreams, without a sound
you're haunting me.
You're like my personal nightmare, why dont you just get, out of my hair?
You had the upper hand, but why am I,
made to be lower?
I know I don't deserve it, I know I'm not all to blame
If I was just being strong, why make me feel like I'm wrong?
Just because we weren't the same.
I wish I had the answers,
I wish I knew the truth, but somethings are better left unsaid,
some things we  have to lose.
I hate that it turned out this way
but maybe its for the best.
I just want this to end,
I just want to get some rest.
Old poem I wrote about letting the past determine the future.
