Punctuated sighs, where paused commas seek sweet breath, to rest.
Where have all the Juliet’s gone.
The princess' to rescue, the maids to save.
A woman’s gift use to be so more defined.
As was the part I had to play.
Not that I was a very good actor.
Was never much of a factor on the main stage?
If I could go back to the days of Arthur, when chivalry was alive.
Joust with evil princes and slay fire breathing dragons
to ride, on an steed through the meadows and dales.
Listening to minstrels sing my story accompanied by a lyre.
Guinevere wouldn't run from this mans passion.
Exalibur would be pulled from the stone.
Alas I live in the technology age the dark ones are well past gone.
What is good for only some, never ever lasts.
I still have my pen which lets me sit and fret
and lament for a sweet Juliet.
Open your eyes, child

It's not a dull gray world you live in
See the color of life refracted through curiosity

This world is so much more than a
monotonous day to day existence

Every second of every day there are
mysteries waiting for you to solve

There are questions
burning for answers

What is that star in the night sky?
I'm glad you asked
Keep asking questions
Always ask questions

Never let up in your search for understanding
Ask the same question of different people
Question their answers
Challenge your perceptions
Keep Asking Questions

Can you?
Should you?
Why not?

Don't settle for an answer.
Find more questions.
Questions will shape your life
will alter your course
more than answers ever could

Answers are only questions that no one asks anymore
This poem is reserved
for the love of my life
Its lines are only
placeholders
templates
for what is to come

There is no meaning right now
so don't go and search for it
These are cold, emotionless words
ready to be replaced with fire
when the time is right

This stanza will be filled at a later date
This line will be about her laugh
This line will be about the look she gives me (you know the one)
This line will be about the spark in her eyes
This line...mmm...will be none of your **** business.
It's a private moment
It's between her and I
The one with the reservation
to my heart

One day this poem will mean something
One day these lines won't be empty
Someday

But not today
Stare at that person in the mirror
Tell me, what do you see?
I see your eyes crying
I see your lips lying

Stare, but look closer into your skin
Look at yourself and try not to scream
Your smile I'm not buying
I feel your hopes dying

Stare and look past agaist your tears
Open your eyes, realize you're what you fear
Youre running out of breath, stop, you can't see clear
Because of the self-hatred that has always been here

That pain that forever seems near
Stare now
For once
Listen to your own screams
I am not alone, but, will I ever escape loneliness?
I threw your heart out to sea
Just to see if it would drown.
I carried the weight and pole,
Fishing for that blue soul.

This is the house of mystery
And your the guessing game.

Just as you caught the world
Old Atlas strung and stronge.
Ignited a blooming flower
With love and merry song.

But today I'm traveling on,
Traveling on.
