Blind squirrels find nuts, luckily
God led me to you

thunder heard in striking eyes

I can watch grass grow
Or cherry blossoms bloom
for eternity, when I know  your mine

She came on a storm
Leaving heart break in her wake
to destroy my world

This new heart has felt
a protective layer, if not ready
When this young heart starts to feel

The clubs are my brushes the courses are my empty spaces
Coloring with wide draws and drooping fades
I sweep in a birdie as my friend counts his paces
I yearn for the roars and the smiles on their faces

When I was young and a day was thirty six not twenty four
Now I am done in nine I wish I could play more
But tomorrow I will paint on a new canvas with a new score

stare into yourself
beyond those familiar lines
into the hidden

remote control lives
just skipping all life's moments
what were we watching

Today is not the day to see what I've seen
Not with the sun shining and everything
From the horrors of paschendale
To that cross on a faraway hill
Humanity has left quite the legacy
From blood stained Hamburger Hill to
Mastering the art of wholesale butchery
I Never wanted to claim my ancestors yokes
The things I've seen are the devils jokes
Pitting man against man and brother against brother
Our sisters and mothers weep to each other

Crows been silent stalkers, not
carnival barkers
All critters take care, sensing

Young hunger yearning
New growth burns it's winter suit
