White feathers entwined
The universal dance ensued

mindless imps
followed pipers south
now they burn

Carrying a bandaged heart
Wrapped in lessons, tied in knots

turtle eggs waiting
for the signal to begin
terrapin station

uncle sams funning
his humor often lingered
pulling  his finger

Am I less man then other men
For writing feelings thoughts of
Love lost of trusting others with
Thoughts put to pen

we're really the same
different lives, husbands, wives
people labels lie

do tides even care
which direction it sweeps in
rising up again
never to be wrong, I go
soothing warm waters, I trust

when the oil lamp is put away
beyond my frosted cabin glass
silence reminds me, throw the latch

milky silt rivers
gashing pastel covered fields
tears from slipping slopes
glaciers coursed going southward
now heading back north

our tender whispers
secrets between only us
whispering desires

snow falls slow
gently from above
soothing thoughts

ocean noise crescendo
Seagulls chasing as water wanes
periwinkles dance

Sunday morning coffee run
Car rolled smoke up ahead
Lights flashing blue red one dead
Please say a prayer

whooping exodus
waving white tissues in flight
cranes crying goodbyes

waiting for the storm
to wash away these blue skies
these hot shots need rest
