Crimson orange curls swirl
Cinnamon sprinkles sun kissed cheeks
My oldest beauty is rare indeed

Galloping down the beach
Crashing waves startles me awake

Imperfections make beauty
Like an ideally placed dimple

When I read a good poem it feels so familiar
Not my very words but similar
Not in that order but of that cloth
Similar in mind similar in thought
Not words stolen just words caught
by a likewise soul telling all of us what they long sought
Validation he is not alone, mental, or bought
But words in this order with this thought
are exactly as he could want and got

inside clarity
consternation disappears
living without fear

When your mind is closing in  
with the fears of any day.
A moment is required
to continue on your way.

When your body decides to quit
from the weight that you choose to bare.
A moment is required
to consider what is fair.

When your heart is aching
from all it's breaking
and you just can't go on.
A moment is required
to remember God's only son.

To put it all in perspective
and decide on a whole new look.
Take a required moment
to turn the page or maybe
try a whole new book

You ever heard, dark to light or
I was blind and now I see

It used to perplex me and to
wonder what could this mean

Did it mean like the rising sun
hitting places it had not before been

Was it a surgery or some godly miracle
that made the blind man preen

Or was it something deeper
something felt but something unseen

I think I see the meaning now
I had to write it down and then read

The mountains dark but the sky is all aglow
Beautiful purple pink and indigo
Winter retreats to the furthest pole

tinker tinkering
life spent keeping clocks ticking
where does the time go

just drifting along
singing songs sung, low and slow
whispering sad notes
solemnly bringing
thoughts of love, let go
