And I bathe the Moon in the Stars,
She keeps my secrets and travels far,
As She looks up, Her eyes light up,
Pours Her Stars into my heart.
Fresh air, cool morning
Aroma of fresh cut grass
Sounds of slight wind
Clouds have appearance
             Of cotton
Later cars drive by
Lying on blanket
With my chihuahua
My buddy
She curious of everything
Smells the wooded trails
Fresh air
Quiet
Time to reflect,
Colorful days, sweet nights
Take time to pause
Leaves are changing

Leaves are turning a new page
You have to forget all the rage
Take time to pause

Leaves are changing
Leaves are changing
Leaves are changing

Here you are in a new day
It don’t matter which way
Forget what others say
Leaves are changing

Colorful days
Sweet, sweet nights
Colorful days

Watch the leaves
Changes are on the way
Forget what others say
Live for today

Autumn leaves
Autumn leaves
Autumn leaves
Leaves are turning

Watch the leaves turning
A new life is burning
Changes are on the way
Forget what others say
Leaves are changing,
I watched the squirrels chase each other
along the long limbs of the cedar elm
as its leaves fell sporadically
silently whispering
the approach of autumn.

I took a deep breath of cool air
thinking thanks
for mother earth
her gentle breeze stirred the trees
leaves slow dancing with the sun.

I sit comfortably pleased by the pleasance
of this bright day
and the final flowering of sage.
