There is a monster under the bed
I know he is there
I heard him yesterday and before
I look under the bed there is only darkness

There is a monster under the bed
I know he is there
Now ceaseless in his demands
I look under the bed there is only emptiness

There is a monster under the bed
I know he is there
Wait…. I hear him closer now
I look under the bed

There is a monster in my head
I know he is there
I hear him now
There is only darkness
My very first poem.  I read a poem posted on this sight about a monster under the bed and thought of my own monster under the bed.
Everyday as I cross this road, here
you pass me flashing a sunny smile,
its magic, touches my being
changing  this colorless life awhile.
At the broad display wall, a casual glance, I'd cast
and think"Such a smile would look nice over there"

Today, a miracle touched my heart with its feather,
your face in its liveliest best, on posters,
are displayed  on the same wall I fantasied.
*The caption proclaimed:"She is the next big star"
This  jaywalker never would see you hereafter.
They said " Aren't you mistaken,
the flower of your choice, has no color, just plain"
*I said with a grin, "But didn't you see? look twice then,
she is pithy and sublime, for me the mien not the skin"
Well, in India, the 'skin deep' thing is still a point of discussion..

All of us write,
late into night,
Simple rhymes becomes prose,
As night draws to a close,
Connotation becomes denotation,
Expressed or implied,
Painting pictures with words,
Of a world much denied,
Of heartfelt regret,
Or anger or pain,
We elude to the simple,
And write about rain,
To illuminate others,
Of that which we see,
Another perspective,
Of what may be,
We invite opinion,
Of comparitive worth,
The definition of judgements,
Are all that we need,
So bleeding and ugly,
Take care to impart,
A wonderful meaning,
To a forlorn heart.

'...He went like one that hath been stunned...'.

Bruise
I pretend it’s true,
me and you.
You hold me close,
nussel my nose.
You kiss my cheek,
oh so sweet.
You pull me in,
that’s when I grin.
The only thing that’s on my mind,
is the one thing that’s hardest to find.
I’m here with you now,
something no one can change.
You’re mine for the moment.
My heart? Yes you stole it.
Who’s to blame
if you don’t feel the same?
It’s not your fault.
Nor is it mine.
Just remember,
It’s fun to pretend sometimes.
Remember Me when I'm gone
Remember Me when you are all alone
Remember Me when your dreams go home
Remember Me when lights break out
Remember Me when love is lost
Not many are like me
Not many are so brave
Not many keep up till the day break
Not many follow what i say
Not many know when to say
All Can Lie
All i Can play Trust me with whatever i say
I put my heart all out, I know the rules But i don't know how to play, they say.
Remember Me, Remember Me Is all i pray
walking
no place today
in mind
thoughts reaching -
no tomorrows
to find

little daydream
a tune to be sung
life spinning
under autumn's sun

far off
meadow plains,
cool wanes quiet falling sun
golden, reds
still hanging on

A place, nowhere to be,
no one am I
content beneath blue fields
of sky
'Twas midnight in the schoolroom
And every desk was shut
When suddenly from the alphabet
Was heard a loud "Tut-Tut!"

Said A to B, "I don't like C;
His manners are a lack.
For all I ever see of C
Is a semi-circular back!"

"I disagree," said D to B,
"I've never found C so.
From where I stand he seems to be
An uncompleted O."

C was vexed, "I'm much perplexed,
You criticise my shape.
I'm made like that, to help spell Cat
And Cow and Cool and Cape."

"He's right" said E; said F, "Whoopee!"
Said G, "'Ip, 'Ip, 'ooray!"
"You're dropping me," roared H to G.
"Don't do it please I pray."

"Out of my way," LL said to K.
"I'll make poor I look ILL."
To stop this stunt J stood in front,
And presto! ILL was JILL.

"U know," said V, "that W
Is twice the age of me.
For as a Roman V is five
I'm half as young as he."

X and Y yawned sleepily,
"Look at the time!" they said.
"Let's all get off to beddy byes."
They did, then "Z-z-z."
