He called me again today
He was there in his cape
Scythe over shoulder, no real shape
Tricked me to join him in his eternal game
Wanted only me tonight, almost had me as well
He offered me Jack Daniel's, so I didn't feel the cold
Didn't feel the waves as his grasp took hold
He offered me his hand and I'd never grow old
Would end all the pain and let this life go
No light did I see no valhala or heaven
Just darkness and cold as I walked in his steps
Then before I had passed my face was on fire
A dog licking my cheeks, frenzied she barked
If not for her my rescue dog
I'd be gone from this earth and of its pain
She returned the favour to live today.
Asked if written of death so here is an Old work.
