"pirrouettes" poems
There is a word that touched my lips
A word which kissed my soul,
A single word that means as much
To me as ...Angel's gold.
As gentle as the evening breeze
Which stirs the leaves to blow
In pirrouettes of dusty spires
Where Autumn fairies go.
A word which holds it's hand aloft
In friendship's warm embrace
A feeling that transmits itself
To crinkled smile on face.
A word of such simplicity
A bond twixt thee and me....
Have you determined in your heart
Just what that word can be?

Take my hand, we'll run away
We'll run past the oceans,
Past the continents
We'll run past the earth, too
Hold me tight; it's a rough journey
All these sticks and stones
People pelting us with hate
But we'll make it through
I'll lead you to paradise,
Where no one will ever find us
Floating on clouds, we'll be
Among the angels we dreamed of
We can do anything we wanted to
Nothing with a purpose
Change the world if you want to
There's nothing to it
Dancing among stars
Storytelling to aliens
Pirrouettes of happiness-
You know where to find me
