Good things come to those who wait.
A virtue Our True Father is teaching us
If only I can grasp this trait
He will one day
Take me to my true home
Something today I only
Fathom as ok
It will be so much more than fine
I do not have an adjective
That comes close, pehaps divine
Until then, I will hold tight to ride
On through the difficulties
Trials of this life
I will try my hardest
Be patient, though I may fail
I will love others
Until I get it right!!
Meanwhile I will continue
To reside on this earth
Until I learn The patience
Of His Son, a battle
I feel each day
As if I've just begun.

i know how i look
with my rose tented glasses
im not naive nor gullible
just convincing myself to believe
i know it's a set up
pehaps a little foolish
but the highs i reach
are worth the lows beneath
there's nothing that can stop
how i wish to see
i would rather not admit
the sad truth of reality

drowning

i am drowning
being slowly dragged under by the weight of my guilt
cosumed in my bed
as i lay warm inside my emotional quilt
it layers me like i layer myself
layer upon layer , upon layer , upon layer
my invisible angels watch over me
kneeling in prayer, to someone that isnt there
at the side of my bed
they are manifestations, pehaps halusinations
dreamed up inside my head
the reside on an even keel
with demons and the dead

am i a freckle on a pretty girls face
or mabye an obsolete number
that has no place
in this life or the next
am i a love letter,  a text
perhaps the next phone call
to say the one you love
wont be comming home today
life demands he stays
under the car broken and twisted
soon to be listed
as just another dead brother, son, friend, father
to a little one
who will now have to rely on mum
as the important one

its getting late
as i lie here at night , full of fright
clinging to thoughts that are not right
but without them , i might , not make it
without devils and demons
to help me fake it, what does it leave
the cold touch of reality,  ****
sludge ****  thick and black
hanging on my back, breaking my spine
leaching off everything thats mine
**** comming out of my eyes, my ears
**** comming out of my mind, making me blind
to everything that makes sence
**** that builds a fence
to keep nice things away
at least for today

if i remove the mask
how long will the next one last
life demands so much
my masks cant keep up
have to wear a new one each day
smile politely and say, lying of course
i am really ok
then i turn and go back to my life of clay
moulding, folding this and that way
ptting on another face
to help me get through another day

We hail our system but what of the victims
That it’s taken along the way
And if change is coming (then why are we running)
What does that really say
We need a suture not fear of the future
Especially when it’s in play
Now that may not suit ya
But this is a brand new day

Our system needs a supply of victims
And unfortunately that seems to be us
If you understand capitalism demands
An economy that goes boom or bust

The Wall Street collapse presents us these facts
Some people think greed is good
And now that the onus (is on the big bonus)
We’re questioning whether they should
It doesn’t make sense to reward incompetence
No logical person would
Be that as it may (they do anyway)
And that’s why they’re misunderstood

Our system needs a supply of victims
And unfortunately that seems to be us
If you understand capitalism demands
An economy that goes boom or bust

Health care and education (advances a nation)
But some say it’s too socialist
To underwrite it (and so they fight it)
But the larger point’s what they miss
So what if we’re wealthy
If our people aren’t healthy
And they lack good educations
What does that say about us anyway
When rated among other nations

Our system needs a supply of victims
And unfortunately that seems to be us
If you understand capitalism demands
An economy that goes boom or bust

Now we’ve criticized those who’ve devised
Schemes that produced no labor
But let’s try to surmount it (and think about it)
Pehaps they’ve done us a favor
By making us see regulation is key
Before things get much graver
I think y’all know by doing so
It might prove to be a life saver
