i was looking at my fish tank and mind began to stray
thought i was in an ocean very far away
swimming in the coral in a great big reef
deep down in the water swimming underneath
i saw lots of fish blue and green and gold
swimming oh so closely near enough to hold
then i saw a shark as friendly as can be
swimming all alone in the deep blue sea
then i saw a jelly fish do a funny dance
it was just amazing in my little trance
then as i was waking up again feeling oh so free
there i had my fish still in front of me.

mrs mcginty lived in county downa grand old irish name in a grand old irish townshe had little cat it was black and whiteit slept all through the day then it roam around all nightone day she went to feed it but it wasnt there so she searched the house and then searched everywherethe poor cat was missing no where to be foundthen suddenly she heard a little purring soundso she went outside to see where the cat could be.there she found her cat sleeping in a tree.

mama always knew when anything was wrong
she cuddled and she kissed me kept me feeling strong
mama she was there to love and comfort me
always by my side thats were mum would be
she would wipe my tears as they began to weep
she would stroke my brow and send me off to sleep
mama always knew and she would understand
mama she would listen as she held my hand
mama was always there to always guide me through
mum she  always knew things that only mammas do

life it is a journey that dosent have an end
a long and winding road with a curve on every bend
a journey we must travel a journey we must take
a road that has decisions  ones that we must make
we must travel forward each and everyday
the paths we have to take are there along the way
it is a rocky climb life has made it so
where our journey ends we never really know

life can be distressing it can be a pest
it can twist your mind and wont let you rest
it can make you sad it can make you blue
leave  you so confused and wonder what to do
it  can make you cry it can make you weep
leave a broken heart and it wont let you sleep
life can be a burden and and it can make you mad
it can take away. all the joy you ever had

put some love back in your heart forget divorce make a brand new start when you feel that love as gone find your heart and just move on. dont feel down just find your feet and give your a heart a brand new beat. forget the past and start a new then your heart will come back to you

i live in the country in the countryside
theres a great big field standing right outside
it has lots of animals running round so free
with lots of little birds singing in a tree
there are lots of rabbits and a badger too
with lots of little moles there are quite a few
i can watch the farmer bringing in his yeild
stacking up his hay neatly in the field
i can see all this in the country side
all i have to do is take a walk outside

i saw a weeping willow a lovely willow tree weeping in my garden very said was he the teardrops they falling down on to the ground there were lots of teardrops lying all around i stood there for a while and watched  him as he cried so very very sad i filled up inside then the sun came out to brighten up the day the willow he was happy and the tears just dried away.

i joined a poetry site so i could  write a rhyme
to help to ease my mind while passing on the time
there a lots of people here who do the same as me
devoting there free time to share there poetry
there are different poems that the people write
some are full of sadness others with delight
but each and every poet has a different way
they put down in words what they want to say
so god bless all the poets who give there time so free
without all these people this site it would not be

there was a little fox he lived in a hedge one day when it was snowing he built himself a sledge
he pushed in the snow till it began to slide then he jumped on top so he could have a ride
he it took  a hill and pushed it from the top till it reached the bottom then he made it stop.
he was having fun on his little sleigh then came out the sun to the melt the snow away
then the fox went back and climbed into the hedge waiting for the snow again so he could use his sledge.

some people they get lonely living in despair
no one for them to turn to no one there to care
there lives are in distress and feel that hope as gone
giving up on will and strength to carry on
all they need is someone someone to be there
to give a little love someone who will care
help them make life better and bring back the light
just a little love can make there life seem bright

theres a bumble bee in my garden as funny chap is he
buzzing round the flowers and all around the tree
with his stripey suit as funny as can be
flying round my garden so wild and oh so free
he lands upon the flowers as gentle as can be
******* out the pollen such a sight to see
then off  he flies away back to his little nest
then he goes to sleep to have his little rest

theres a mole in my garden friendly as can be while hes digging holes he sits there watching me.
kicks the soil behind him. kicks it in a pile then he takes a rest and sits there for while.
then off he goes again digging deeper in the hole such a busy little chap and such a friendly soul.

i walked in the garden the sun was shining bright
the flowers they were blooming soaking up the light
showing of there colors standing oh so proud
bunching close together standing in a crowd
bumblebees were busy having lots of fun
soaking up the pollen underneath the sun
butterflies were there flying oh so free
a robin with his redbreast singing in a tree
it was really lovely a lovely site to see
the beauty in my garden filled my heart with glee.

i saw a lady dancing in my dreams one night
she wore a gold tiara and a dress of silky white
dancing on her own as happy as can be
dancing in my dream dancing just for me
she had flowing hair that flowed so wild and free
it fill me with delight and such a sight to see

loneliness for people can be very bad
leaves them oh so lonley and also very sad
there mind is in distress there feelings they have gone
trapped with in despair and how do they go on
everything inside is in disarray
hoping one day soon it will go away

i saw a yellow bird as friendly as can be
hi up in the branches of a big oak tree
he was very yellow the color of the sun
hopping branch to branch having lots of fun
he whistled me a tune a lovely little song
very very happy as he hopped along
he was so delightful  as lovely as can be
i wont forget his song that he sang to me

when i was just a baby lying in my cotone thing i remembered and ive not forgotthat was **** lullaby that she sang to meshe sang it very softly. as gently as can beher voice it was so lovely gentle and sincerei could hear her singing softly in my earthen she would rock my cradle rock it too and frotill my eyes were closing then off to sleep i gonow i have grown up i get teardrop in my eye every time i think of mamas lullaby

i walked up heavens stairway high up in the sky
then i stepped inside and saw an angel fly
she had great big wings feathered pure white
and around her head an halo shining bright
she hovered there above then she took my hand
then she began to show me around her angel land
it was very peaceful and everything was calm
such a lovely place filled with so much charm
everything was beautiful and made me feel so free
is this is really heaven its where i want to be.

i like too watch the badger roaming through the night
with his furry coat with colors black and white
such a lovely creature so beautiful to see
wandering through the fields so very wild and free
underneath the moon shining oh so bright
just to watch the badger brings me such delight
he  never seems to rush he takes it nice and slow
this creature of the night gives life such a glow

the baker as an early rise
start his day making pies
makes them up in a batch
laid on trays for dispatch
takes them on his daily round
to the places they are bound
quite a busy little man
big white suit and bakers van
then goes home and begins to yawn
then off to sleep till early morn.

sitting on the internet just the other day
bidding on some things on the site they call ebay
every time i bid  i would just get beat
as i tried to buy myself a simple little treat
i just kept on bidding and tried to win some how
then i saw a button that said you can buy it now
so i pressed the button now at last i won
my bidding time on ebay gave me so much fun

there was a little indian boy the he thing like to dowas sail around the river in a small canoe.he just love to paddle along the riversideuntil oneday he paddled but the river had gone wide and towards a waterfall he began slide so he paddled faster and tried to miss the fallbut he was just a boy and really far to small.noticed by a bear who fishing near byheard the little brave as he began to cry the bear he was big and also very strongso he grabbed the boy then pulled the boat alonghe took him the place where he was beforenow the boy safe again and paddled on once more

i had a lovely dream of place so far away
where it was full of children and i watched them play
all them were happy every girl and boy
playing very happily sharing lots of joy
everything was peaceful in this world so bright
a place that felt so safe where everything was right
this was just a dream something i could see
a place that was so safe the way the world should be.

i love you when its morning

the elegance of the tiger
so beautiful is he
roaming in the wild
wonderful and free
stalking in the grass waiting for his prey
treading very softly as it comes his  way
silently he moves it is such a thrill
then begins the chase and finally the ****.
then he sits and hold it in between his claws
slowly as he eats it in between his jaws
then he takes a nap to sleep his food away
and for the tiger its been the perfect day.

i grew a great big marrow as big as big can bewhen i stood beside it was as big as mei put in a show  filled people with surpriselooking at my marrow to see one such a size it had lots of stripes and it was nice and greenand a marrow of this size i have never seenwhen the judges saw it. they came and had a lookreached in to there pockets and from a camera tookthey were quite surprised at this mystery.then i won first prize and went down in history.

if you tell the truth and never ever lie
you can walk through life with your head held high
never ever fib be honest and be true
as you walk through life this will guide you through
lying is dishonest and fills you with deciet
so never ever lie and keep your life is sweet

i was sat in the park as quiet as can bewhen a little old man came and sat with mehe began to tell his story of  his life of woecalled up to the  army  and  how he had to gohe told me of his days on the battle groundsurrounded by the bombs and bullets all aroundhe said a son that he never sawhe was being born when he went to wari looked in to eyes that were tearful and sadthen i realized that soldier was my dad

on the highway to hell there is no turning back ride upon your harley  ride into the black.
ride among the demons through a ******* hole your a devils angel now and the devil wants your soul
he wants you in his kingdom the place where you must dwell to stay there forever in the kingdom he calls hell.

love is meant to last and never ever die
love is for eternity and on its wings you fly
love is for a lifetime and not for just a day
love is there for ever and never goes away
love it comes to everyone love is always there
everyone has love love is everwhere.

we should thank our mum for giving us our birth
who carried us inside then placed up on the earth
then she at raise us and be our guiding light
and read us bedtime stories so we could sleep at night
she was always there when ever things went wrong
to guide us through the bad times with her love so strong
so we should thank her dearly our best friend and our chum
thank her for just being there and thank her for being mum

when you find your first love
it gives your heart a glow
emotions running wild
as your love begins to flow
your life it seems so happy
a feeling that is new
bringing out the love
deep inside of you
a feeling  very precious
coming from your heart
these feelings you will get
when loves about to start.

i like to watch the rainbow shining in the sky
with its many colors gleaming way up high
arched across the land  with its great big bend
looking for its gold thats ******* on the end
though this is just a myth a story we are told
you always see the rainbow but never find the gold

i have a little terrapin i keep him in a tank
he didnt have a name so i called him frank.
he is very cute and paddles round his home
in and out rocks he just loves to roam
he has a little ramp that takes him to the top
where he likes to bask and from the water frank can pop
he sits there for while that is his retreat
underneath the light giving off the heat
then he as feed to fill his appetite
then off he goes to sleep and thats him for the night.

when you fall in love two hearts they combine
emotions and your feelings together they entwine
your heart begins to beat loud and very strong
beating to a rhythem to its own love song
it makes you feel so happy and makes you want to sing
these are just some things that your love can bring.

there was leprecaun he lived in a treein the woods of ireland so very happilyhe liked to wear a shamrock of this he was so proudpinned up on his bright green suit that was very loudhe had magic powers and he could cast a spellhe liked spend his time walking through the delloneday when was walking he met a unicorn he was very sad he had lost his hornthe tears were rolling down his eyes and he was feeling bluefor the unicorn with out his horn didnt know what to dothe leprecaun he decided that he would make a spellin his little *** deep inside the dell.the unicorn was watching standing all forlornwhen the spell was cast back returned his hornhe thanked the leprecaun for making up a spell then he said goodbye and went off in the dell

i saw a little bird sitting in a bush
he was brown and speckled he was a little thrush
he had big brown eyes bright as bright can be
sitting in his bush looking straight at me
then he sang a song a lovely lullaby
it was soft and gentle and almost made me cry
when he finished singing he chirped and said goodbye
then he spread his wings flew in to the sky.

i dreamed of a rainbow forest with lots of rainbows there
rainbows scattered all around rainbows everywhere
spread across the sky and bending over trees
with little pots of gold blowing in the breeze
there were lots of colors of yellow blue and red
shining very brightly hanging overhead
it was very beautiful  a lovely place to see
there in rainbow forest is where i long to be

have you seen the flowers breaking through the dawn
rising from there beds as they begin to yawn
standing up so proudly to face another day
showing of there splendour to make life bright and gay
giving off a scent growing wild and free
growing there so proudly for all of us to see.

love it is a nature and it lies within
when you meet that special one your love it will begin
you will feel emotions and a beating in your heart
to let you know that love is just about to start
it such a lovely feeling and there to let you know
something that you feel when love begins to grow

i looked up in the sky and wished up on starshining in the night in the sky so fari wished i could change the world the way it is todaythat all the violence would simply go awayi wished for happiness for each and everyoneand that all sadness in there lives were gonewish that every dream for people would come trueand they could be happy for there whole through.if i could do all this it would make my dayknowing happpiness was just a wish away

theres was a little turkey he lived on a farm he thought he would be safe there well away from harm the turkey he was happy around the farm hed stray the farmer he would feed  every single day  turkey he was growing becoming nice and round little did he know for a plate he would be bound it was near christmas  not to far away. the farmer he loved turkey. for dinner christmas day. the turkey he got wise when he saw the snow then he realised. it was time for him to go he waited till the dark then gently slipped away and was never seen again to this very day

in the jungles of africa there lived a crocodile
he had a big long face that almost seem to smile
he would float along and looked just like a log
as he moved along in the swampy bog
with his great big teeth with jaws that he could snap
thats how he caught his food in them he would trap
he would catch his food by sitting very still
till his prey came near then he would snap and ****
then he would go to sleep  resting in the swamp
till he woke up again then off again to romp.

i dreamed i was in oz beyond the milky way
where everything was lovely and where the munchkins play
i saw a yellow brick road and i walked along
singing to my self a happy little song
then i met a tin man while i was on my way
he was stiff and rusty and began to rust away
then i put some oil on and he began to creek
i put on some more and he began to speak
we walked along together  standing side by side
when we saw lion and he began to hide
he was very scared his courage it had gone
so we took him with us then we carried on
further down the road we met a sad scarecrow
he was looking for a brain so his feelings he could show
then we met a wizard and told him of our plight
he said i can help you and put your problems right
then he cast a spell and there troubles went away
now they live so happily every single day

i made a shepards pie on a baking daygot my ingredients and put it on a trayi placed it in the oven and turned up the heaton the proper gas mark so it would cook the meati sat there for a while and got out my bookthought id have a read so the pie would cookthen i heard a tapping on the oven doorout popped the sheperd who was very sorebut from  my cooking lesson theres something that i learnt.do read book while cooking something could get burnt

i was in the loo sat there all alone
like a little king sat there on my throne
i made  myself a  crown from the toilet roll
sitting in my castle on the water bowl
i was just like royalty with my little crown
though i didnt have my pants up i had pulled them down
then i left my castle and i left the loo
it was nice to be a king just for a while or too.

while i was in a  pet shop looking for a pet
wondering what to buy and which one should i get
then i saw a puppy as lovely as can be
with big bright starry eyes looking back at me
he sat there so quiet as happy as can be
so i bought the puppy and took him home with me
i was very happy with my little pet
my day at the pet shop i never will forget

i tried to fry egg i thought it was a joke
every time i tried it i would bust the yolk
i tried to cook it slow and keep it nice and mellow
once again i failed i went and pop the yellow
i tried it once again i tried with all my might
but to fry an egg i just could not get it right
i decided i would boil it not to have it fried
then at least the yellow would be whole inside

there was a little martian and his home was mars high up in the universe way up in the stars.
he built himself a spaceship so he could fly in space. this made him happy flying place to place.
then when he got tired he headed home to mars. then he fell fast asleep underneath the stars
