The daily human race is a hill to climb
And doing it alone is no peace of mind
When the sunset slowly ends
You're bound to need a friend
To help you reach tomorrow one more time

So you watch the faces coming down the street
Or find a bar where lonely people meet
I had so much doubt
About who I lived without
Until you made my happiness so sweet

CAUSE IN YOUR ARMS I FIND MY BETTER HALF
YOU BROUGHT ME NEW SERENITY AT LAST
A PASSION FILLED MY SOUL
THE BELLS OF HEAVEN TOLL
CAUSE IN YOUR ARMS I FIND MY BETTER HALF

I've been around the block a time or two
I knew you were the answer wrapped in you
I destroyed my old addresses...
Even thoughts of old caresses
Cause we were making love not making do
When you're needing someone
I hope you think of me
So much about you
Exceeds my fantasies
I'm a  much better man
Having all that's you
There's just no replacing
The blessings that you do

DOWN DEEP WITHIN  I NEED YOU FEELING ME
THE HAPPY FEELING IN YOU'S MEANT TO BE
MY ARMS WRAP TIGHT AROUND YOU
LONGING JUST TO FEEL
OH HOW MUCH I NEED YOU FEELING ME

Your medicine is magic
I never get enough
Just let me pull you closer
I'll give you back so much
You are the therapy
That brings a glow to me
Woman you're all I crave
In all humanity
I'm breaking
And breaking
And breaking
From pain
And hate
And words
Sticks and stones
May break my bones
But words will never hurt me
Words said as children
So it wouldn't hurt
And break, break
Break us
But it did
The words
And looks
And abuse
No matter the kind
Now look
We're breaking
And breaking
And breaking
From the pain
And hate
And words
Sticks and stones
May break my bones
But words will never hurt me
We see now
It's all a lie
To make us feel
Just a little better
But the truth always
Shows in the end
And we see
We were simply
Foolish
And now
I'm here
And I'm breaking
And breaking
And breaking
My brain says move
My body disobeys
I sleep
I don't eat
My smile is gone
My green eyes have faded
My skin has paled
My body has thinned
I am weak
We are hope for others
To carry on
Taking their burdens
And making them our own
Holding their pain
So they don't feel it
Sharing the weight
Allowing them to be free
But buried beneath the weight
We struggle to stay alive
Always being beaten down
Cracking under the sheer pressure
We don't know how long
This will last
Our instincts tell us to fight
While our mentality says surrender
Grasp our hands
Let us be your hope
Bring us your burdens
We'll whisper to you
You're not alone
This was written as a collaboration with a very talented poet named Robert Guerrero. It turned out really well. Good job to us.
Scarring the perfect skin
I will never be the same
My soul is breaking
I need this pain
Something snapped in me
I have twisted desires
Abuse is never enough
Hate burning like a fire
I long to destroy myself
I don't let myself feel
My body aches holding it in
None of this is even real
Happy Birthday to me
Happy Birthday to me
Happy Birthday dear Mystery
Happy Birthday to me
Finally turned eighteen
Let's light some candles
And I'll make a wish
On the count of three
One...
Two.....
Three...
*I wish I had never been born

I
    am
           unbearable.
You're
           un-
                 shutupable.
That's
           un-
                 believeable.
You're throwing
                             "You're
                                           un-
                                                  reliable".
Sorry that it happened to you dear.
We shouldn't have gone this way
"We weren't together" you say.
Yeah, I'd comfort myself
                                           like this
                                                          from where you stay.
"Sorry for betrayal
if that's what you wanna hear"
"Fine,
              we both know
                                         you'll pay"
I saw him in the fields as a boy
And he was smiling
Such a tender youth and full of love
For every living thing great and small

The sheep were all around him
And each he fed out of hand
One by one, smiling at his flock
With eyes full of love
And a heart ever giving

I saw him in the market square
And he was smiling
The great teacher
And all those who follow him

The people did flock to see him
And he spoke to them and told stories
He taught the masses, young and old
I saw the shepherd king
When jesus of Nazereth came to market

I saw him in his chains
Lead through the town bruised and ******
Lead by roman jailors toward death
While all around the crowd was in turmoil

He never cried out, nor begged for life
He never moaned, never complained
Even when the raised him up, and nailed him to the cross
His only words were a dying prayer
He was smiling.

I tried to
make a playlist
of all the songs
that reminded
me of you
for the sole
purpose of burning
them entirely
and listening to
the rest in peace,
but I realized
every single one
was laced with
your name
so I ended up
burning everything
to the ground
and it still
wasn't enough
to get you out
of my head.
