Those without Bricks
Barely visible
in a city built in darkness,
between columns of twinkling lights,
a luminous grin looks
upon those without bricks,
and crumbling minds.
Gracing the black void,
reaching hidden
bones
that dread the pure light
that can expose them.
They sip leaking glass
in unlit streets,
dreaming of green fields,
yearning to grasp the flesh of
hope.
