Pablo Neruda
I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way

than this: where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.
You used to say you would never Quit
You told me to stay Strong but how am I supposed to be strong when you are my strength.
You took some pills
You left a note
You lost the battle
Now you're gone and you have left me

tears are wasted often
on the people
who touch
and then
abandon

feelings are evil
only trouble
it leaves you
in a bubble
trapped inside
with no hopes of escape
it leaves you lost
and confused
about what love is
what it's meant to feel like
what it is meant to portray
what it is meant to create

we fall so many times
for the same trick
we feel so weak
emotions leave us
feeling hopeless

we cling to such bad habits
people whom are addictive
we get lost in our lives
it feels quite tragic

we try and see
the good
even in
the bad

it is sad
how we
fall victim
to the same ****
again and again

bad luck finds it's way
into your gentle veins
and poisons, weakens
it changes you
completely

it changes it all
the way you think
the way you touch
the way you kiss
the way you
separate yourself
from everyone else

not a nice way
of living
living in fear
all of the time
spending your days
in fear of being abandoned
and broken, torn, blinded
by the thoughts
and doubts
stopping you
from being free
and somewhat happy

The foamy waterfall,
reminds me of her floral dress,
The stones floating,
Of her helpfulness
And those precious ones,down under
Of her beautiful dead eyes
On her death bed..
I know I should be sad,
But I need not cry,
it's her everlasting beauty
Not her body to die..
but I felt with that immense a treasure,
One could not help keeping it same forever,
But she was too pretty,
the one too fragile to be broken,
this cruel world would make her old,
old, and with no charm like before,
Yes! She won't be able to handle it,
she's too weak a goddess,
I kept that in mind,
and wanted her safety,
Something she could handle,
Her death in front of eyes,
So now her beauty would forever remain,
The same forever and ever..

What happened to the girl,
The girl that hated me with everything she had
Only to realize that we had so much in common
And that it made no sense
As to why we hated each other?

What happened to the girl,
The girl that became my best friend
And told me that nothing would come between us
No matter what?

What happened to the girl,
The girl that was there when I was broken hearted
Who told me to stop shedding tears over him,
He wasn’t worth it;
There were other fish in the sea?

What happened to the girl,
The girl that made sure I didn’t get hurt playing sports
That I wasn’t pushing my limits,
Who was worried when I wore a knee brace?

What happened to the girl,
The girl that told me when I was being stupid,
When I was about to get hurt because I wasn’t thinking,
Who told me to express myself in other ways?

What happened to the girl,
The girl that was crazy and hyper with me,
Who danced around, had burping competitions with me,
That would come up with weird combinations of food to eat
Who stayed up late and shared secrets with me?

What happened to the girl,
The girl that wrote a poem to me on my first birthday apart from you,
Who gave me a soccer ball and popcorn as a present
Who said that the distance wouldn’t mean a single thing
And we’d always have each other,
Who was terrified to tell me that she was leaving because she didn’t know how to say it?

What happened to the girl,
The girl that was my best friend
Who was always there for me no matter what
That looked after me
And made sure I didn’t get hurt or do something stupid
Who made sure I was okay?

What happened to the girl,
The girl that was my best friend?
She got lost somewhere along the way
Somewhere into an abyss
An abyss that I couldn’t drag her out of.
I guess we’re back to the beginning;
Back to you hating me.
This time though,
I don’t hate you back.

Smothered in love
I'm not getting a wink of sleep tonight,
That's for sure

My face buried in your chest
I've never felt a heart beat as forcefully as yours does
It kicks so hard against my cheek
I'd swear you were awake
If you weren't snoring on my forehead

When I think you're dead to the world
I attempt my escape
But your arms tighten the second I wriggle
Drawing me in even closer
I give up, I'm not sleeping tonight
That's for sure

I'll just lie here
and breathe you in
all the while longing for sleep
but knowing that I'd rather lie here awake
folded into you
than somewhere else asleep without you
