Rocks
Playing ball , running fast

Petting a dog,

Holding  tight to
Momma's hand
Did this happen

Unless we wear masks
How can the world get better
When it.is so sick

So tranquil the night
The moon still winking
As stars shine bright
Planets in alignment
The milky way too

What will the children
Do for Halloween
This year
They already have

Intricate cover
Spills of gravy
Stains of cranberry
Crumbs of leftover
Pumpkin pie
But amidst it all
The remaining gift

The depth of a paper cut
Twelve feet of water
A Religious novel
How sweet is life
A family full of love
Chocolate filled with nuts
The purring of a cat
How sad is life
Alife that had no chance
Innocent behind bars
Reactions to diabetes and crimes
Whether short or long sweet or sad
We are.on hallowed ground.

Walks in the morning dew
Balloons held tightly
Warmth of sun
And wind tossed hair
A purring kitten
Gently near
Of course a book
Or even two
The wonder of children
Passing through
Gathering with family
In sickness and in health
Doing worship
With all you've got
Taking in the sad
