Reflection on lake
Trees adorned in
Dead leaves that
Haven't touched
The ground
Houses with a sun deck
Birds flying over
Suddenly your shadow

Distorts the beauty

Step

Not to awaken
Any explosives
For the day

Watching football wants
Me to see a game
We don't have a team.
Anymore
Have to remember
What I saw
With my brother
And be cherish the

A time to contemplate
Store memories of

Golden sunsets ready
To thaw the pain
Of Winter's chill
Spring a new

Hope is in the air
Ready to repeat
Its cycle

Oh to soar
Freely in the sky
Not holding back
Or carrying a load
Just free
Not worrying what
Others might think
Feeling the breeze

I so liked football
Going to the stadium
Now my team is gone

Grasshoppers in numbers
Dancing on the grass
So many butterflies
More then I've seen
All year.
Yellows and oranges
Splashing a kaleidoscope
Of colors before me
A hawk showing off
Its'freedom making
Crazy eights in the air
And a turtle in the middle
Of the walk peeking out
Of it's shell
The diamond colored lake
In her stillness
What a beautiful day
To be alive

Eternally thankful

Miss waiting for the bus
Will need its service
No longer
No more work
No more waiting
Or rushing
No bus pass
Hot chocolate on
A winter's day
Freezing hands
And feet
No new people
To just say
Hi to
Or even a book
To read
Most of all
Will miss you
My friend my companion
You waited with me
Till my bus came
Sometimes with candy
Melted from your pocket

Inked on you arm
A joke to tell me
A tale or two
Even a whistled song
Though Metro stops
For me
Hopefully you wont

Unmask
So I can see
Your eyes in

Their beauty
