Wrinkled and worn
Cavities of tears long ago
Withered from pain
Yet softened from
Memories gone by
A tell-tale face
With Nothing to hide
And everything to see
So old and painful
With glimpses of
A sorrowing past
And yet high-lights
Of once sunny days
Makeup can't cover
Rouge looks phoney
Hold your head high
And show your face

I'm in a trance
Listening to the
Falling rain
Counting the drops
Watching the birds
Glide in the sky
On a warm sunny day
Listening to the Crunching
Of leaves
On a crisp morning
And hanging Icicles
From the trees
Don't disturb me
I'm in a trance

Four seasons to watch
Experience the rhythm
That each one will bring

Sitting watching the rain
Thinking about eentzy weentzy
Spider
He was washed out
The sun dried
And he started
Over again
In the storms
Of life
How often have
I waited for
The sun
Sometimes I go
Up that spout again
And sometimes I just
Stay grounded

Was
Had a poem written
All set to go in my head
Than it disappeared

Running
Always Running
It seems
No destination
Just Running
Through the wilderness
Tripping over dreams
Around the corner
Over the bend
Jumping hurdles
Landing on unreached
Plans and destinations
Just Running
Running to
Running from
Just running

Alone in the dark
Gathering up thoughts before
Alone in the light
