Like feathers in the wind,
We fall, sailing slowly, randomly blown about,
Never knowing which direction the wind blows,
Every move, every struggle how ever hard we tried to wrestle against the wind,
Down down we fell,
So is the beauty of an empty heart and a lost soul, searching for a solid base in the dark nothingness.

Like feathers in the wind,
We embraced the wind while we have no control over it,
Finally all worries gone without a trace,
And in our heart we were born a new,
With freedom in our minds and a heart to live through life freely.

So Leave the fools with the praise,
For in the end, we all are feathers in the wind,
Each one travelling between in it's own space,
Eventually falling into the sea,
Sailing into the near forever,
Disappearing from view.
A steady reminder that life is not a race.

Dear Mother
Lydia L Ejeagba Jan 2019
Tonight I feel my hearts been hit by a blast,
Tonight i feel it coming once again,
Tired of running,
My heart's loosing heat like am low on propane,

Truth is it's been there since my heart got broken in the rain,
A ghost from the past,
That brings along with it pain,

So much i want to tell you about,
So many times I simply wish you were here,
But this void reminds me of your absence then and again,

I feel so vulnerable with monsters roaming about,
With the pure nothingness, its difficult to reach out,
Nights like this my heart is in restrain,

Dear Mother,
I really don't know if I'd ever be whole again.

Dedicated to:
To all those feeling lost,
To all whom we've lost.
To my Mother.

Road to redemption
Lydia L Ejeagba Jan 2019
I wish I had chosen the easy way,
But I went all in,
I fell in love with the leeway,

My vicious soul rejoice and burned brightly like the high tension,
I sought every crooked thought with the most delusional obsession,

Carelessly i rode the bifrost of fame,
Every second I burnt cased in glorious frames,
Every road I set aflame,
Crowds cheered at the mention of my name,

With every soul wanting a spec of my attention,
Little did I know, moments like this can be fleeting,
An exaggerated deception,

Left in the cold with the trees dead and gone,
Having been tainted for so long,
What must a man do to attain to freedom?

honesty is priceless
Lydia L Ejeagba Jan 2019
Honesty is priceless,
For a fact I'd say even timeless,
Makes the heart glow with brightness,
Tell it without a spec of shyness,
Speak it out loud even when the world expect you to be in silence,
honesty is priceless,
Because without it;  life and love would be rhymeless.

I'll be waiting
Lydia L Ejeagba Dec 2018
Memories like this remains imperishable.
Yellow dress, angel eyes,
Hair like silk, red high heels,
Lips like velvet,
I could paint with all the colours on my pallette and still the world would know nothing of the depth of your beauty.
Such was it with my Christine,

Oh Christine,
Winter is here again,
How fresh your scent still lingers in the air,
Under the Misty sky in the cold,
You left without a trace.

Hard it is to tell if you still listen to my favourite song,
But I'll wait for you,
Hard it is to tell if you still miss my Sunday morning loving,
But I'll wait for you,

Though I be out of reason,
Though there be change in season,
I'll be here waiting until the end.
Where the rainbow meets the sea, that's where I will be, patiently waiting for my Christine.

Roses are red, Violets are blue,
Your eyes are blue,
That is so true.

The sun is golden, shinier than the gold in egypt,
Sunsets are the purest,
So are you, fairest.

Butterflies are pretty, some even more radiant,
Palos Verdes are rear,
Just like your dear.

Dahlias are colourful,
More stunning, even in the frost,
Your smile is glossed,
That I love the most.

Force is strong,
Texture is velvety,
Your smile is smooth,
So is your hair,

Gezanias are treasure,
Lotuses are sacred,
Gifts are heavenly,
And so are you.

My favorite place
Lydia L Ejeagba Dec 2018
Beyond the horizon,  at the edge of the sky is my favorite place.

If you know what i mean,  my favorite place is not a place, its not a location.

It is the perfect bliss in the golden lights where the day isn’t as black and white as we think.
A perfect evasion from the fleeting reality.

I'm a hero over the Empty space,
Painting the clouds with the orange light.
I drown out the blues in ways i have no clue.
Gathering Treasure beyond measure.
Singing the songs of the birds.

In the sunset away from all the hurskiness is my favorite place.
