Farewell
Personping Aug 2019
A thrush of rain merely stopped, summer remnants buzzing autumn blue, we stood as our shadows lengthening against the post.
The time had come, with the citadel behind us and your small boat ahead, yet no one lifted the last draught of vintage.
Our hands joined, eyes red, choked by words.
You sailed away, into the evening fog, towards the endless vastness.
Farewell itself shattered my heart, letting alone this lifelessness time of the year.
It was by daybreak when I woke against a willow. A small piece of moon hung on the edge of the night. With some alcohol remained in my veins, and my eyes wide open, still couldn’t I see through the thick dark mist in the days coming.
