Tis the season and the time
To know from wence we came
And where in fact we’re headed to
As we play this crazy life game

We’re born into a story of woe
Of difficulties and strife
We move forward to an understanding
Of our authentic right to life

Our freedom to be our true, real self
To move with love and courage
We sometimes see the difficulties
And tend to be discouraged

So take to heart this message
Of joy, love, truth, and peace
Of knowing of who we  truly are
And self love to increase

As children of God we have a place
A role which we shall play
A puzzle piece on the scheme of life
A place from which to pray

That all of life find balance and love
That all men shall be free
To live with all abundance
So our true selves we can be

At the heart of all
That we are
Our comings and goings
Daily
Mean nothing
Without the context
Of love
Love permeates
Every particle
In
Our world
We are love
We breathe
Love
We exist
Because
Love exists
In the world
We are
Therefore
All
Is
Love

Growing into love

Raw pain
The kind that brings
Tears to our eyes
And permeates
Our very
Existence
Is important
To
Our growth
When we allow ourselves
To feel pain
To acknowledge
Pain
To go through
The pain
We allow ourselves
To feel
Our
Humanity
Life does not exist
Without pain
In fact
It is the very pain
That we run from
That helps us to grow
Into that
Which we are meant to be

Authentic love

Love
Without pain
Does not exist
It isn’t until
We totally give ourselves
Over to the love
And feel the pain that
That brings
That we can truly be
Who
We truly are

I think I’d rather be your friend
Than your wife
You speak to your friends all the time
You laugh on the phone
And share ideas
And secrets
While
As you wife
I clean
And cook
And take care of you
And miss out
On all the joys of being your friend
So
I think I’d rather
Be your friend

Have you ever said, to yourself, I’m so tired
And then wondered
What you are tired of
I’ve had sleep, so it’s not a body tired
I like what I’m doing in life, so it’s not an I’m tired of life
So
What is tired
And who
Is tired
And who is expressing
I am SO tired
And then
There is no answer inside
Just
Someone
Snoring

An experience of the body
A journey of the soul
I meander and can not
Comprehend it at all
I live each day
As if it’s my last
I count down the hours
Until it is past
My nose in the air
And my feet on the ground
I can’t comprehend
How all this must sound
I’m on a journey
That will take me home
I’m learning to live
And I’m learning to roam
For one day I’ll return
To the place where I started
The place where I came in
And the place I departed

This world in which we live
Is in a horrible mess
People don’t talk
And people don’t care
We wear our anger
Like a badge of pride
We keep ourselves hidden
In a place inside
When will love prevail
So that we can see
A world that is shiny
And new and free
And instead we keep ourselves
Hidden way inside
We’re afraid to speak
We’re afraid to cry
I watch all this
With a tear and a sigh
For until we talk
We may as well die

I hold onto that
Which was before
People who cared
And people who were more
Than a blank slate
Without emotions
People who hide
And have lost their devotion
I am hurt at the core
To see empty faces
People who lie
And have lost their graces
Will it ever come back
Has our innocence been lost
Will we hide and cringe
Will we ever defrost
Will we ever remember
How it used to be
When people felt
And would not flee
We need to learn now
How to live authentically
To show our true selves
And to finally be free
Please wake up now
Before it’s too late
Our future is not lost
We can still change our fate
By opening our eyes
Our ears, and our hearts
By pulling together
All of our parts
Walking proud and *****
As the people we are
Human beings with hearts
With our soul as the star

Will a third poem show up
They always come in threes
The first is a beginning
And the last is the tree
The roots we hold onto
As we become more
Our fate has no limit
We are so much at core
I want to be more
Than I first thought I was
And now I’ve grown stronger
And can understand the laws
The Universe will guide us
All the days of our lives
It will show us the true way
As forward we strive
So trust in your be ing
And do from the heart
You only live once
