The dark twilight
Suhas Sep 2018
A teacher is honored
adored and idolized,
A doctor considered almighty
and worshiped into.

An engineer portrayed
as the pillars of future,
A bureaucrat painted
like a messenger from above.

But little does the world know
the truth of the twilight,
everyone coming here for services
under the low lit alleys.

Alleys that are always looked below
ironically are the alleys of forbidden pleasure,
all i am is just another soul
working to feed her kind

Abused shamed and discriminated
forced to bear an illicit fruit
only to realize she shares the same plight as mine
and yet i put on a smile to serve every night

only to pave a different path, a path
abiding the "NORMS" of society.

Just a dream
Suhas Aug 2018
Walking along the shore
Day in and day out.
Chasing and wanting  you,
U always being an ambition of mine.

Little did i know
the sun never meets the sea
but only at the horizon,
and i was fool who thought everything
"Was gettable"

A fool foolish enough to chase
and trace a rainbow's origin
a fool but a conqueror
for i have achieved what i have loathed for

And now the horizon isn't far
but rather within
surging with happiness
and flowing with bliss.

Unheard
Suhas May 2018
Young and fragile like a petal,
beautiful and glistened with innocence
filled with sparks of glare
will to endure into the future

dreams which were broken
by carnal men who
burnt, spoilt and obliterated
not just one but the entire species

will it ever end, the
blood shed from within
organs pierced with  lust
humanity left to decay

i go down now leaving this world
only hoping to be born into a better one.

Another Hope
Suhas Mar 2018
As a child i dreamed ,
hoped on touching the sky,
flying amidst clouds
and riding the stars

Eyes filled with euphoria
with every dawn
gazing with curiosity
into the hurdle of the day

Now i stand a 40 year old
knowing gravity pulls me down
and my spirit deeper below
all i want to ride is the metro in peace

Into the he agony of mundane
with desire and curiosity
just words i knew off
life truly revealed it colors:black and white

Yet my eyes glean with joy
On the sight of hope in my child's eye

For You
Suhas Mar 2018
Amidst the murkiness of the dark,
There always exist the twilight.
Radiant and exhillarating,
Driving the spirits of the soul forward.

I was none but a similar soul,
Not dark but never bright enough,
Till thou paved love and fervor
Into a mind of a beast.

Graciously walked into me,
Made me fly when on the soil.
Evolved me into someone better,
Throttled me into triumph.

You are the curve setter,
Enchanting the curve on me,
With every smile of yours,
With every articulation of yours.

Thank you for being my pillar
of love, strength and aspiration.
