A gallant man
Donned his Top Hat
Tipped the brim
Smiled ceremoniously

As the young ladies passed by
A glint, a gleam
In the corner of the eye
A gentleman by and bye

At the close of the day
The foyer was the place
An unspoken ceremony
Of  Style and Grace

He Doffed
His outer wrap
Dress Coat Top Hat
Cleaned and pressed

Kept preserved
For the well dressed
At the ready
Of the gentleman‘s leisure

Until the next day
For the well deserved
Sanctimonious
Ceremonial
Continually observed

A prominent display
Of pomp and circumstance
(Pompenstanse)

An elegant dance
Of the well to do
In the year of our Lord 1882

Songs
send simple
profound messages
Even when all
seems lost
There is
always
Music

That’s how
Musicians
find their
Niche
into Fame

Movement
Expression
Key note
Ripple
Effects

Speaks
to the
Power
Music has
In bringing
People
Together

Creating
Hope
when
we have
nothing
else,

Music
will always
be there to
bring about
change
Peace

Yet
profoundly
powerful
effects
can also
Change Society
clear examples are;

John Lennon’s
imagine 1971
invites us to
Question our Values
in the world
we live in and
Imagine one
that is simpler
Where all live in peace

In doing so
Society must
give up their
Beliefs in God

Music
can be
Hypnotic
a snappy beat
a catchy tune
Singing lyrics
without realizing
What the words
Represent

Lyrics such as;
AC/DC 1979
“I’m on a highway to hell “
Eagles 1972
“Witchy women see how high she flies “
John Lennon 1971
“Imagine there’s no heaven it’s easy if you try “

Each of these
Rhythmic
song beats
Keep us
Hypnotized to
what we’re
Singing

I used to laugh
when my parents insisted
Rock music was
Satan’s bandwagon
The Pied Piper
The devils playpen

Blurring
differences between
wrong and right

Teens
Rationalized
it’s just a song
Get real
Give me a Break

We were
a BeatNick
Generation
of ignoramus

You don’t know
what you don’t know
until you know it

Footnote
My heyday was the 1970s Living in Southern California, rock ‘n’ roll and every type of bands from easy listening, country, and everything in between. My youth church group in an. attempt to open dialogue between the teenagers and parents asked each person to bring in their favorite album. And we were going to have Music appreciation and talk about that particular album. So that meant somebody who brought in John Denver got equal respect as somebody who brought in the Doors or Led Zeppelin, Simon & Garfunkel.
In comparison, Simon & Garfunkel is mellow by rock ‘n’ roll standards but back then it was on the blacklist of evil music.
To see the underbelly of music
search on bands that sold their soul to the devil. Or search devil music. You won’t believe the singers and their interviews. John Lennon on that list
who would’ve thought

Despite the mediators
best effort,
the opposing side

remains intransigent.

They trade quips
Talking over
Each other
While the world
Watches astonished

Beatrix both parties
I vote for
the least of

Ultimately
what’s best
for the country?

What happened to
Moral fortitude
Virtuous
probity
integrity
rectitude

When
slander of

Do not

My First Demon
Truth stranger then fiction

I had just finished
An advanced Bible study.
I was on fire for God
thinking of all the people
I wanted to share it with.

Going over in my mind
who first
It was 2:00 AM I was tired
Laying back into bed.
I wasn’t all the way asleep
when it happened

I was about to doze off, startled.
There was a large black Demon
on top of me.
It was slender
tall to the ceiling.
A silhouette no face
A forceful, commanding
Ominous Evil presence.

I could not speak.
  As if my mouth
was glued shut
I was paralyzed
limited movement

I wanted to scream
I wanted to shout,
No words no sound
Nothing came out.

l struggled violently
Fighting to get free
Twisting jerking
I managed to jostle
The demon
Off of me

My mouth
Opened
at the top
of my lungs.
I screamed.

I AM A CHILD OF GOD
GET BEDIND ME SATAN
The heavy weight
still presence on top of me,
the power no longer there.
It started to dissipate
As if a genie going
back in a bottle.

I don’t know what possessed me,
Outlandish chutzpah
I didn’t want this Demon to leave
Where would it go next
into my husband‘s room or
somebody else’s house to deceive

I grabbed the Center mass
much to my surprise.
There was something
In my hands.
I held on tight,
By sheer will
Not letting the demon
Disappear

I was left with a
Piece of long cartilage
Similar to the top of a
Long balloon, but thicker

I instantly sat up in bed,
Then hurried to the kitchen
I threw the contents in my hands
onto the butcher block
A heavy **** sound filled the air
as the substance hit the wood
Rattling everywhere
proof some thing had been in my room.

I went to lay down on the couch
Still shaking from what had happened.
Oddly I fell asleep peacefully
Time 3:33A.M.
Later on
When I went to the kitchen,
Whatever I had was gone,

The Event
Played over and over
In my head
What it did
What I said
I needed to know why
I didn’t flinch. I didn’t cry.

I had to do research.
I was never going to let
myself be unaware again.
To live in ambiguous pretense
Things began to make sense

When people are
fighting with each other.
It’s a Demon interfering
in their lives.

If you look at life that way
you release each
others from blame
Place it on the evil
you can or cannot see.
Preventing us to lovingly be

For the next couple of nights
I kept thinking it
Would happen again
I hated my fear
I didn’t want it back here

I had to know more
Even the playing field
Leveling the score
To find out what
I needed to do
To protect myself

Before
I had an idea, but not a clue
Now I know what to do
I have the armor of God

As days passed
I settled in knowing
God is in charge
My faith was growing

When I give it to God.
Peace follows
No longer an empty heart
Hollow

The Bible teaches how
To proceed
That’s all you need.
But it requires Faith
The Holy Spirit and Grace

Who, What,Where and Why
I continue to figure it out
Remove fear’s doubt

I experienced a Demon.

Many won’t believe
 Evil practices to deceive,
But regardless
My Soul is not for
Satan to retrieve.

BLT Webster’s Word of the day challenge
2-18-25 Chutzpah
Shameless or disrespectful boldness often paired with recklessness self-confidence someone with hot spa dares to do or say things that seem shocking to others
When you start to learn about evil demons entities abortions, you will learn that 76% of the world has experienced one in their lifetime. 24% will experience more than one. I continually have to work at not being afraid. When you’re still weak, it suggested that you have the Bible playing on low so you can sleep, but it keeps you safe because the demon will not enter when God‘s word is being spoken. where’s my research? I was surprised how much there was on the subject. Before this happened to me, I did not believe in demons. I thought it was a myth a scare tactic. you never know how you’re gonna react to something like that deep scary that was life-changing. I know the closer you get to God the more evil is going to try to take you away. I keep thinking about the  Bible story of Job.. if this ever happens to you announce yourself as a child of God, ask God for protection, and you do that by putting on the armor of God. It’s really hard to be levelheaded in the face of fear, but knowledge is king.

Miriam Webster’s
Thesaurus Dictionary
I am discretionary
Quite contrary

My thought process
Works in circles
Often called out
for non sequitur

How do I stay
In the moment
a brief component

While many people
Are lineal thinkers
Relying only on the fact
My train is on a different track

I take the long way back
The scenic route
Often talking in circles
yet always having a point in mind
Even when it’s not easily understood
My response valid value still good

An example
that pertains to the subject at hand
Even if the example isn't grand
Off topic may not be the best plan
But it proves my point
Yet picky people
Nose out
of joint

Tongue tied
Wrong words tried
Brain fried

Flowery word mountains, I climb
my lexicon expanding in time
Segue without interruption
Empirical, thinking corruption

Using the first word
I can find
A thoughtless word
section grind
Sounded fine in my mind

What was the subject again ?

Have you ever
While speaking
lost your train of thought
mid sentence?

Have you ever
had something on the
tip of your tongue then
a moment later it’s gone.?

Have you ever
sang every word to a song
And forget the Artist and Title?

Have you ever
walked into a room and
not remember why you’re there?

Have you ever
spoke for an hour to a friend
And not remember their name?

My perfect example of non sequitur
There was a point I promise 🤔🤫
