I love my self, my husband,
But, I love my children the most.
They are my pure love,
My uncut diamonds.
Being a parent is not a burden,
It is a privilege  I cherish.
I comfort them through their tears, tantrums and nightmares.
I am there in their smiles,
Laughter,sadness and happiness.
Still I am a parent first,
Many times I hear," You don't like me".
"I hate you".
Because I love,care and worry about them,
I have to discipline them.
I bug them about their whereabouts,
Say no to certain things,
Ground them,
Make them clean their rooms,
Do chores around the house,
Run errands.
Most importantly I let them founder, tumble and fail so they can stand alone on their two feet.

Someone's happiness,
Bring a sparkle to his eyes,
Lighten his face,
And soften his heart,
So he feels relaxed and contented.

I politely asked for a new pair of shoes,
I beseeched for another pair
I demanded for a new pair,
I screamed,
I threw tantrums,
I threatened,
I threw myself on the floor,
At last I rushed outside,
On the pavement I saw boy with no legs.

Seeing the bud awaiting patiently for the sunrise,
To slowly open its petal,
The pupa in the cocoon to change into a beautiful butterfly,
I think I too can hold on to hope
With its gift of miracles.

Was despite a stressful day at work,
My children came running to me with joy laughing and crying,
Scrambling on my lap,
Hugging and kissing me,
My heart throbbed with getting so much love.
Now they have a life of their own,
They come when they want me to baby sit for them,
Or help  them with their monetary problems.
I am happy,
At least I get to bond with my grandchildren.

I sewed them with the most precious threads lovingly and with patience.
I pray the threads do not break and the most important people in my life remain sewed tightly.

Daddy had a little robot,
It's  body was white as snow,
And wherever daddy went,
The robot was sure to go.
It followed daddy to work one day,
To work one day,
It made the staff laugh and laugh,
It finished their work half by half.
The uproar made the CEO come out,
He too loved the robot without a doubt,
Without a doubt.
He wanted to keep the robot with honesty,
But,it was against the company's policy,
So he told daddy to take the robot
back home,
