my northern star
Nyaluelit Kuoth Jul 2022
did you know..when you’re not there…

the anticipation of seeing your glorious face
and the feeling I get when you touch me, is hard to bare...I want more;
I feel like I don’t have it all
why aren’t we lucky?

You must know,

How, missing you cuts deep into my skin, my razor sharp love
and that, as I bleed, I long for you night and day;
imagine me, outside during a cold winter night
with no clothes on.
Man, to be loved is to be domesticated
you’re my home
you tamed my wild soul

then you arrived, my darling
Tall, you’re so hot with that ***** short hair.
you’re the fire
I am the woods;
you lit me up
and I burn
…there’s no warmth
that can compare
I bet, even the sun
would marvel
at your
heat, my northern star.
the place where I find rest,
next to you is where I belong.

Love of my life is  here…
They hold me tight, but gently
happy and I am seeing stars
This is what life is worth living
for, I have it all, living my best life! baby, aren’t we lucky?
Yours,
NN

In this loud world,
....will my silent love be heard.

if not you, who will remember me,
love.

Ask the big questions.
Nyaluelit Kuoth Jan 2021
some religious folks,
say when we die blah blah. Is a long story.

other folks, intellectuals,
have theories that when we die, we die. The end of the story.

On a fateful day, a child is alone. feeling sorry.

older folks are in deep despair and weary.

tears keeps you from seeing clearly.

open your eyes and be bold in your query.

Is it that we fear death, or that any new form of freedom is scary?

To my mother, Nyahnial Paul Gak Deng.

Short poems.
some days I just want answers and other days am simply grateful to be alive ahaha.

I knew it was you
the humble and the companionate
the inspired by love
sending a wave of appreciation
descending from the Thalamus
to the pigment of my Iris
Seeing you pass by
I hid my sorrows under my eyelids
You poked both eyes gently,
My closed eyes, mine and their secrets
Opening up to you, and I can feel
my tears falling down, one by one
like a flimsy leaf
gathering at the ******
street corners of a heart
that have no homes, not even
a room for a guest
or a ‘welcome’ mat

a deep voice, came from within
    saying to happiness
‘visitors are not welcome’

                    some of us are
content with the sadness
      because at least, the blues
               never departed,
                   since it first
                     arrived
I’m trying to express how..often **** events stay for days, or months and or years as opposed to happier experiences...for some reason..joy feels like a visitor like peace isn’t meant to live within us..always leaving more room for chaos.

Find your identity
Not in your Suffering,
No, we survive trauma
But keep on living because
Someone loved us once
Told us we can achieve
Anything

Fail I may but there’s comfort
In the safe heaven of your warmth
Yes, you guide me to a path
Of self-discovery, until I
Realised my full potential
Grandmother’s prayer
Spirit rekindled
Arise

The entire universe is wrapped
Around your slender neck
which translates as; Woman you
Are so ******* Beautiful

God done made you,
Beautifully crafted in a raw material
Known as melanin with a heart of gold
And your eyes contains all the light
God used to make all humans
For the love of God, celebrate you

For you smile in the face of adversaries
You raise the bar and brake records
At the setting of the dawn, and if anyone
Should look down on you
Made you feel inconsequential

Do not curse
Know your identity
You are not your mistakes,
No, not even painful childhood
Memories can define you
Woman your fireflies heart
Raptures in brilliance
Constantly,

Which allows you
To never doubt your worth
You are ingrained with love
Yes, you are the best version of you
Even in difficult circumstance
I admire that bravery
Down your spine
this poem is...inspired by all the women in my life! loved me and my flaws...always challenge me to be wiser, nicer and developing a deeper understanding about whatever.

Unending love
Nyaluelit Kuoth Sep 2017
My initial impression of you
Is that, you are exuberant
One of a kind, brilliant
Beautiful human, it seems
I admired you automatically
Your gentle eyes, my saving grace

The love I felt for you was formed in secrecy
I have no search warrant to uncover how it happen
Fear has infected my mind with hysterically depression
I think an ardent kiss, our lips crushed together
Might break the walls that keeps me in the dark

my love, you're born of the blessings of a good star,
Sited high on your throne, dark-chocolate man,
With ***** short hair, wide shoulders & a festive smile
I worship the trousers, that cling to you, my king
I cannot resist this subconscious cry for affection

Then you smiled, my emotions racing
I swear I dreamed of this moment or a deja vu
You took my breath away, my eyes glisten, happy
As if by chance, the desert flower found a home
We were born for this, happy, sad, unending love
This poem is dedicated to the first guy I ever liked. I like liked him like that’s bae material kind of like.
